It says a lot that one of the most vocal critics of the NCAA during this whole ordeal has been none other than duke alum Jay Bilas. The NCAA refuses to learn from the previous black eyes it's taken in cases of clear overreach.

This "ass clown" is hardly throwing a fit - just pointing out the hypocrisy of juxtaposing high academic standards with one-and-done athletes.  Not sure why you care so much.  Since you didn't go to dook, its all about the winning.

I'm not proud of my school going overboard keeping football players eligible by offering excessively easy courses with easy grading.  I wish it didn't happen and it taints all alums.  I for one can admit this.

I'm not the first to point out the dook coach abandoned academic integrity for the sake of winning.  And you should just be happy it worked as that apparently is the bottom line for you.

I do think its funny how you all say K abandoned academic integrity for the sake of winning as if the players he's recruiting aren't coming back to Duke every summer and earning their degrees. I hear about all of them taking classes each summer session. Besides that, most of the kids recruited to Durham come in with strong grades and continue that while at Duke(as evidenced by 23 straight years with atleast 2 ACC All Academic selections). He isn't recruiting kids with 1.5 GPAs.

 

On another note, why are people still arguing? You're obviously not going to agree with one another.
