Whatever happen to the kid coach k talked into renouncing his senior season of HS.

Played last year cause dook was desperate for a pg and transferred after K recruited his replacement the next year. Talk about ruining someone's career.

Deryck Thornton - a 5* point guard that word on the street is the rat ran off so he could give his a scholly to Marques Bolden. Thornton will be at Southern Cal next season

Really bit them in the ass because Duke played the entire season without a legit point guard.

Hindsight is 20/20 but it definitely looks like the wiser moves would have been to keep Thornton and keep Semi Ojeleye too. Semi was named AAC player of the year. Big surprise he gets off of a crowded bench with sparse minutes and balls out somewhere else.

If you get no title does all that dancing matter??

Win a title this decade and let me know..

Like you said, you cant win a NCAA title every year and the years you can't, an ACC title will suffice. Which we've done back to back now. Oh and still have a chance to win the NCAA this year.

This.

And the whole academic scandal around UNC really affected Roy's ability to recruit, other teams were using that against UNC. So what'd Roy do? Develop the hell out of his players. Look at all the big men and point gaurds Roy's been able to develop over their time at UNC. Duke's become a one and done school like Kentucky.

So.... We have a championship because of it as well..

Yeah agree with you as well. NCAA investigation has hindered their recruiting of elite OAD players. I don't think it's going to end anytime soon either. I'd be surprised if unc doesn't end up in court over this fake scandal.

Roy is one of the best basketball coaches ever and while his record up against the rat isn't great, it's pretty damn good against everyone else.

There are some terrible unc fans who believe a season that doesn't end 41-0 with a national title and margin of victory of 30 points is a disappointing season.

Something else to consider too - Kentucky and duke are basically the two programs associated with OAD players, but it's only resulted in two combined national titles for the two and some really embarrassing losses, underachieving seasons, and disappointment.

Really but them in the ass because Duke played the entire season without a real point guard.

Also injuries to players but i guess that's only a UNC excuse..

I'm hoping that with the recent success UNC has had that will end the recruiting troubles.

I like Danny Green's moment better but I am partial lol. Where is dook at?

Yes of coruse you do..

Way more impressive dunking over a 5'10 PG than a 6'10 center..

At home shinning our 2 national titles this decade.  And on the trail going to get Kevin Knox the number 7 highschooler in the country..
