True story - a couple years ago I was in the Wilmington area looking for a beach cooler. I wanted a unc one. I recalled "oh hey I hear that wal-mart sells unc stuff....or at least that's the joke"......so I went to the one in Wilmington and they didn't have one. I was disappointed. I did see a bunch of duke and UNC-W stuff in there though.

The DES jab was hilarious. I hope the guy is simply too young to understand that for a good chunk of DES' career a team had to win their conference tourney to even go to the NCAA tourney. DES had been the head coach at UNC for 14 years before at-large bids even existed. The 64 team field didn't exist until 1985, well over 20 years into DES' head coaching career. That format really hurt teams from major conferences.

No always being in the tourney no matter what kind of team you have will lead to success and failure.. You will be upset by lower teams sometimes and you will win it all others..

You trying to your heart's content to make somebody feel hurt about it (and it not working ) is the funny part..

I will gladly adccept getting upset every once in a while and still getting multiply national championships..

I will gladly take having expectatation and not meeting them all the time instead of having no expectations at all.

Out of the respect and admiration that I have for several of my friends that are Duke fans - Duke fans with legit connections to the school, not the common bandwagon wal-mart Duke fans that have no connection to the university whatsoever - I truly hope that WOW! Is some idiotic teenager to 22 year old that didn't start watching "his" dookies until like 2005. It also embarrasss me that this person reps the Panthers. I'm shocked he isn't a cowboy, Pats, or steelers fan.

The Duke fan base in general is pretty god awful of every facet of fandom and most are pulling for a different school that they AGAIN have no real connection to once collegefootball season starts. Sad!
