We said the same thing about Bradberry.

Hooker is a generational talent like Reed and Thomas. The guy likely has 4.4 speed, long arms, around 6'2" in height, possesses soft hands, and can play centerfielder. I don't care if he's a rookie, he'll make an immediate impact.

Maybe so but he is hurt and want participate in combine or probably OTAs  because of a labrum and hernia surgery. Then has to catch up and defend JJ. Lot to ask of a rookie.

Sometimes teams go for another look because they are not sure. Everyone and there mom knows Fournette is the top RB. Not so much with Watson and the QB class. I also see either Cle or SF taking Watson. While he had a bunch of help around him he was a winner. The jets have many holes on offense but adding a RB with a 5th round option makes a whole bunch of sense because of how there system works. They could pick Robinson but he has question and Fournette doesn't. Also I see the Jags maybe taking QB or S as you said.

Jags aren't taking a QB.  Jets are, possibly.  Safety would be intriguing for the Jags, as well as the Jets.  Jets have Drafted defense so much recently, it wouldn't shock me if they went that route again.

NFL.com compared him to Ed Reed

CBS is labeling him the best safety prospect since Earl Thomas (possesses his traits as well).

ESPN has called him the next best safety in the NFL and compared him to Eric Weddle/Ed Reed.

His only cons at the moment are 1 yr of production and his tackling technique.

And yes, he did get hurt but he played through the injuries.

I've heard those things about Adams, not Hooker.  Whatever though.  I'm content with a safety or Fournette at this point.

Speaking of safeties, I think there might be more value in signing Tony Jefferson and spending pick 8 on a pass rusher (Charlton) than vice versa. This is assuming Fournette isn't there at 8 which I don't think he will be.

Jefferson was graded out as the 2nd best run stopping safety in the league last season and has the ability to cover TE's.

Jefferson just turned 25 years old this January so he's still very young. I personally like some experience at the safety position.

“Getting paid, that’s cool, but at the end of the day, the money’s not always the best situation for you,” he told the Schmo. “You don’t want to be a cash chaser.”

If he's the next Ed Reed he should go 24 overall like Reed.  Earl Thomas was taken at 14.  The options between now and April are VAST at safety.  Better value elsewhere after that need will have been met, not to mention they'll likely be gone anyway.

The ranking of some of these DL prospects is extremely interesting to me. I've seen Thomas, Charlton, Barnett all be ranked in the top 3 players in this entire draft by different sources. Even seen Harris top 10 some places. Of course a lot of fluidity and movement this time of year on big boards and what not but still this is more so than usual especially with these DL.

Barnett has slid in some mocks despite going berserk in his last college game and doing nothing to jeopardize things since, with his 21st birthday still months out.  Makes no sense.  We'll see.

Fournette is special, we'd be lucky to have the opportunity to draft him at #8. If he's there we should run to the podium.

I prefer Fournette over Cook. I do like cook I just don't like his fumbling issues. He's a way better version of DeAngelo basically. Fournette I guess would be a better version of Stewart. I don't see us getting rid of Stew if Fournette is drafted. I think we get rid of CAP to be honest. lol

Jets want draft a QB. Either resign Fitz or trade for Romo/other vet. The fact is Forte is older than Stewart and his cap is higher than Stewart. They will draft him if he is there.

Just worked out a QB today.  RB is the least of their worries.  Why would they resign Fitz when he was utter trash last year?  That would be awful.  They'll move on from him this offseason.

LOOOL...that doesnt mean anything. Ed Redd went 24 because there was no Ed Reed prior to him being drafted. Now that he has played an entire a career and left a body of work on the field you know what to look for in new talent. If you see a guy with Ed Reed and Earl Thomas traits, you pounce on them as soon as possible. Thats what you call paving the way for the new guys.
