Christian Mccaffrey is a more logical choice

No tackle is worthy of a top 10 pick at the moment. Robinson is on Richardson travel ban so that means the closest possible tackle close to being top `10 isnt on our radar. Are you really thinking of KR with our highest drafted RB since stewart? If so so i believe Dalvin Cook can do almost everything McCaffrey and is better between the tackles.

I don't like the tackles in this draft and no way in hell should any of them be taken in the top 10. That being said I wouldn't even want to trade down in the first to draft Cam Robinson because I don't think he will make a great left tackle in the NFL, maybe a great right tackle. I also wouldn't mind drafting Mccaffrey in the 2nd if we take a guy like Jamal Adams in the first but there's a good chance McCaffrey won't be there on day 2.

Any GM that takes Mccaffrey in the top 15, damn near top 25 is asking to get fired. And I'm a Mccaffrey fan.

Its kinda like the GMs that took Perriman, Dorsett, or Agholor in first just because of speed. I swear people were raving everyday that each guy is what our offense needs. And all 3 are looking like busts, albeit the first two haven't shown that they can stay healthy.

I know Mccaffery gets rave reviews about his work ethic and IQ but you can't take him any earlier then late mid to bottom of the first. And since the op stated a boost in the return game I suggest we take a look at Victor Bolden, he's a 5'9 recevier/return specialist thats been clocked to be faster than tyreke hill

McCaffrey would be an upgrade to Fozzy. I can't see us taking him at 8. He isn't big enough to be the focal point of a pro running attack. He is a willing blocker, but not a great blocker (but of course he can improve).  The team that drafts McCaffrey is going to have to be committed to keeping him in the flow of their offense on a consistent basis. I don't believe we're that team. But if he falls to 40, I'd consider him (even if we draft Fournette).

I dont think Stew is going anywhere any time soon. I believe he will restructure...I think Maccaffrey would be available in RD 2, maybe not at the 8th pick, but close. Fozzy goes packing and we use him immediately on 3rds/when stew gets hurt/and in our return game. Gettleman will stick to his BPA approach at 8 in RD 1.

Id be okay with it only with 2 scenarios Fournette is gone at 8.. we trade down into the late teens early 20s and take him or take him in the 2nd round at 8 if hes there.

Basically, and our ST needs an absolute OVERHAUL, plugging in a KR/PR isnt going to do much of anything. Our ST hasnt been ranked relatively high (even middle of the pack) since 2008.
