He's missed 2 games in 4 years since he missed all of 2012 with injury. Made Pro Bowl every year. All pro in 2013. He's got risk but not at the level you speak of

I guess you missed the fact he has missed 2 games in the last three years and none this year. If age where the issue then why has he been hurt less often the past three years then before. It seems he has been healthier as he gets older contrary to what you are suggesting.

I was mistaken. Depended on the old member bank form my fantasy football days. I always picked McCoy for some reasons. Plus I thought for sure after the cart came out at boa, he missed a few for a bad back. Found some of the past.

This chart goes to 2013. We are talking 2016 correct? Why does what happened 3 or 4 years ago impact now. He played 16 games this year and only missed 2 in the past 3 years

He must be taking better care of himself because unlike most players he seems to be healthier as he ages. That seems backwards but true. That would make him less of a risk not greater.

I figured I should update this: He's staying with the Eagles

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000787372/article/jason-peters-will-stay-with-philadelphia-eagles-in-2017

Quote

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that despite speculation the Philadelphia Eagles could move on from Jason Peters, he will be back with Philly in 2017.

Peters is set to make $9.5 million in base salary, and his workout bonuses bump that number to $10.7 million. He's set to count $11.7 million against the Eagles' salary cap. While there was some discussion about Peters being asked to take a pay cut, it appears he'll play this season under that number. Philly has cap issues entering the new league year, but the veteran left tackle owned almost all the leverage.

I'm willing to bet the franchise left tackle is last on the list of folks to cut/trade for cap room.

Every situation is different.  Are the Eagles in win now mode?  Peters is 35, the Eagles have Lane Johnson who they've paid big $$$ and can move to LT, and they do need picks and cap room.

We need to do both. Get a quality stop gap and draft someone to mold behind them. Let's face it, there seem to be no Day 1 starters at LT in the draft. Need a solid vet and develop someone behind him. If we're going to get back to the playoffs, we can't have both Oher and Remmers as starting tackles.

True. Makes sense. I'm hoping they let Remmers walk. Williams should be ready to start.
