Tag and trade, playboy

Why would they trade for a player under a one year tag, they would want him to sign long term.  So they would have to be willing to pay KK what he wants, probably around $17m and he would have to be willing to play for the Browns.  Two things that probably wouldn't happen.

lol at 10 million in insurance. That is just completely made up. They will have plenty of room to make  a splash if neeed be.

Do you realize the panthers had about 18 players go on IR? Years before the numbers was in the 20s. If you're dense enough to believe going a season will less a 1million, you must believe no one in getting hurt. Signing players cost cap space and even during the season there are bidding wars. If a few teams have a run of injuries at safety, the price gos up. I've followed Dave, even in cap hell years, he'd carry atleast 5+million in insurance. Besides the other benefits to that is the carry over, which happens to be 13 million this year. Hmmm that is same cost of tagging Josh Norman last year. Smart teams carry 8-10 each year for reasons I listed, not made up.

Don't get me wrong, I would bring in Peters and pay the 10 million. I just doubt Gettleman will.

Where do we cry once peters gos on IR week 3? With all that money on IR too. He's risky, very risky given his back is the issue. Love to have him and want to protect cam, but unless the price is right or contract is worded "active gameday or no pay" I'll look at other options.

We cry the same way we did when Kalil's went down in mid season and cost us 10 million as well. It happens

Kalil's risk is far lower than peters. On the scale peters about a 9/10 on risk taking, Kalil is about 3/10. People don't know that Gino was on a bad knee before he replaced Kalil, he just manned up. Once Larson lost the nerves, he did greeeeat for a 3rd stringer off PS. I'd even go as far to say, with continued improvements, Larson could be the future at C.

I never stated anything about less than 1million. I will bet you anything they will have less than 10 million in cap when the season starts.

You made it sound like 10 was extremely high, so I figured you didn't know about teams carrying space into the season. Have you took a look at furture incoming contracts? They will not be cheap, still ill take the bet-  for your soul -/+ 999,666 buffer zone included. Deal? OK deal.

How do you determine risk? Previous injuries, severity of condition, current age? If we go on games played, Peters missed 2 games in 2015 but played 16 this year. Kalil missed 1 game in 2015 and 7 in 2016. So somehow Peters is a higher risk to miss games going forward versus Kalil's who ended up on IR.

All of the above-mentioned. I use to visit rotoworld daily and member peters always having some sort of injury . Plus didn't peters have a serve injury that lead to him being delt to eagles? Grant he's overcame lots of injuries, but that can not keep happening at age 34/5. Feel free to correct me as I believe he's had just about everything form head to toe along with missing whole seasons and multiple games.

He's missed 2 games in 4 years since he missed all of 2012 with injury. Made Pro Bowl every year. All pro in 2013. He's got risk but not at the level you speak of

I guess you missed the fact he has missed 2 games in the last three years and none this year. If age where the issue then why has he been hurt less often the past three years then before. It seems he has been healthier as he gets older contrary to what you are suggesting.
