Our line when healthy was a top 3 oline in 2015. Especially in run blocking.

Want me to name the players that played then that are still on the team now? (hint: all of them.)

The only change I see is Remmers. Williams is indefinitely an upgrade, and should get the start.

So theoretically LT may be our only weakness, and we have a better line than 2015.

Run blocking? Without Cams numbers our rushing stats are abysmal and its not the RBs. Sure if you change the entire scheme, add a FB, replace Oher and Rimmers, add blocking WRs it would work but why?

Wonder why our numbers were average withour Cam.

You realize that means we use two different players for rushing, right? Combine them and pretend they're our one runningback. You split plays between Cam and Stewart.

Jesus, then now I get to ask you how was Cam able to run and us having the most scary run attack in 2015? It's like we had 2 runningbacks on the field at the same time. Of course the amount of yards will be lower because of that.

Oher is solid as a starter anyhow. Olsen can block, and wideouts aren't all known for blocking. I can see us getting a nice blocking TE in the draft easy.

We have very few holes, and getting a runningback isn't as stupid as you make it out to be.

I don't think some of you realize just how good McCaffrey is.  No, he's not the pound it down your throat back, but he's a lot like Cam in that he does so many things well that you can adjust your scheme to find ways to get him the ball, and put defenses on their heels.

Where Fournette would push us to a true power offense, McCaffrey would move us towards a more open scheme that puts people in space and make defenses pick their poison.  Think about a player like LeSean McCoy.  Not saying they are the same player, but what they bring to an offense similar.  He's a triple threat that can hurt a defense in so many ways, and has to be accounted for every play.

So, saying you prefer someone else is one thing, but totally dismissing this idea as idiotic is really very short sighted.  Right now, I have seen him mocked in the mid to late first pretty regularly, so assuming he shows out at the combine, in interviews, and at his pro day (which by all accounts he should), it's not unreasonable that he will be considered a top half of round one pick by the time the draft rolls around.  So, if our top rated guys are gone, I could definitely see him as a real possibility.
