Atlanta's offense isn't one that should try to be emulated

The number of plays ran for each team can't be overstated. To me it is a big drawback to Atlanta's offense because it can negatively effect the defense. While New England's offense was running 87 plays, so was the Falcons defense. By the time it got to over time I'm sure Brady was licking his chops because he knew the falcons defense was just tired.

New England played men coverage with CBs and zone coverage with Safeties and LBs in 4th quarter and gave Atlanta an absolute fits.  New England took slants and RB dump offs away and Ryan sucked when he had to pass down the field.

We have a running back who has never played a full season, we don't plan for OL injuries, teams stack the box because our WRs are not dangerous whatsoever. We won't draft OJ Howard who's going to be a franchise TE. Our center isn't getting any younger.

Stewart has played a full season 3 times.

Which if you look at the numbers is the opposite of the truth. Look back and you see he is always near the top in air yards and pct of yardage in air.

I just said that's been the knock on him. Whether it's valid is debatable if you're so inclined (I'm actually not).

Of course, the other big knock on him is that he's a choke artist.  Fair or not, that one probably got reinforced in a lot of people's minds yesterday.

I disagree in riveras philosophy. I would rather score as much as possible fast as possible to put the other team on their heels so u can pin ears back and go at the qb. Falcons problem was they had no depth on defense especially the d line and they relied to much on  man to man defense.

That is exactly what we did in 2015 when the offense could do it so I wouldn't say Riveras philosophy is contrary to that.

All I know is, after seeing Julio, and thinking about Mike Evans and Michael Thomas, we better get and keep some long, athletic, physical defensive backs.

Obi Melifonwu, here we come!

Haven't we already started with James and Daryl...?
