Favorite/most memorable INT

Smithers

Recommended Posts

i was watching highlights last night and started thinking about all of the huge, game sealing plays the Panthers have had over the years.  Last second touchdowns aside, I find that game sealing interceptions are about as good as it comes.

so...what is your favorite or most memorable game sealing interception in Panthers history?  Josh Norman?  Pat Terrell?  Sam Mills?

For me, it has to be Chad Cota's interception of the Steelers in the end zone to seal our first ever NFC West championship!  I can't find a clip of this pick anywhere...but man I remember going crazy when it happened.  What a way to win the game and clinch the division.

Ricky Manning JR wrestling it away from (I believe) Torry Holt to save the 2003 Rams double OT game is my favorite.

He beasted on that play.  Heck he had an amazing postseason...didn't he have like 4-5 interceptions?  I think he had 3 just against the Eagles.

Not saying this is my favorite but the freshest one on my brain that I can remember vividly was the game sealing pick Luke had in the end zone intented for Gronk against the Patriots 3 years ago.

Robert Lester made the pick. Luke was busy pinning Gronk in the back of the end zone.

Thanks. My memory is horrible!

Accidental quote and I can't delete it on mobile for some reason, so will take the opportunity to say no worries :-)

We all know the biggies so I'll pick a less major one that happens to be the only one I've seen in person - Chris Gamble's pick against KC in 2004, his rookie year. This also happened to be his first career pick and sealed a game where Jake threw a ridiculous TD pass to Kris Mangum while being spun in a circle by his jersey and DeShaun Foster had 32 rushes for 174 yards, including a 71 yarder. Fun game to watch.

Aside from all the ones mentioned already, Luke's pick 6 to start the game against Seattle was pretty great. I was at that game and the entire first half the place was insane after that pick and on. Second half everyone was shitting their pants. We pulled through and got to see the boys do their victory lap so it was great in the end of course. But all started with that pick 6.
