This Year's WPMOY Award Is A Tie - One Person Didn't Make It

Yea. A 'dude' that just happens to be multiple dudes. 2 out of 3 to be exact. Either give the award to a single winner or give it to all 3. By saying that 2 people deserve it is giving the impression that the 3rd is undeserving. And that is a abomination as far as I'm concerned. What an embarrassment by the NFL.

To play devil's advocate ... EVERY year a winner is said to be more deserving than the rest on the list. This year they just happened to be unable to choose a winner ... both of whom they say deserved it more than Greg. There has to be losers every year. This year there just happened to be two winners.

Let's be real, there are no "losers" of this award, only guys who have had it awarded to them.

The award itself isn't about winning or losing like football games or MVP trophies, it's about shining a light on a guy, or in this case, two guys, that have done a lot of charitable work and recognizing their value as good people/humanitarians off the football field in addition to their contributions on it.

While I'm bummed that Greg didn't win, to call the whole thing a travesty or sham makes the people complaining look like petulant children that didn't get their way. Be happy that there are guys in the league "better" (and I have that with high emphasis on the quotes) than Greg is, because that just means that there are more guys making the world a better place than there were last year. The fact that Greg was even nominated was great. The fact that the award is even handed out in the first place is great. Be happy not every football player out there is Greg Hardy or Warren Sapp.

In all honesty, nothing will ever beat TD's "We are compensated" speech, So the fact that they gave it to Larry "I might retire" FitzyG and Eli "One of my parents had sex with a whiny mule, you figure out which one"  Manning doesn't tarnish the fact that Greg's charity is beyond better. It just wasn't our turn.

And, again, in all honesty, I'd rather the NFL (and the world) just stomp on our nuts, call us scum, take us out nonstop. Just makes us hungrier.

I hate that Greg lost to the both of them especially after he won based on the fan vote earlier. I know both Eli and Fitz's charities are great causes as well and I congratulate them but I just can't help but feel like Olsen and his charity just got the cold shoulder turned on them. With the exception of TD winning it a few years ago, this just makes me feel that yet again if you are a part of bigger market franchise, then you get everything over small ones.

This isn't about the award and what it stands for it's about whoever picks the winner and was unable to pick one guy like every other year and instead picks two and shafts the third guy. It's just idiotic.

it's not the first time there's been a tie.

But it is stupid to not give it to all three if you're going to give it to two.

is this the first time theres been a tie for the WPMOY award? Seems really weird to just randomly have a tie. Like you pick a winner, one person wins. But, if they did start handing out ties, they should have the 2 poo teams playing tonight tie too

It has happened twice before in 2000 with Derrick Brooks/Jim Flanagin & 2006 with LaDanian Tomlinson/Drew Brees
