I want Reiff anyway, so not really sad on this.  Only thing that irritates me is one less FA tackle on the market and probably increased Reiff's pricetag.

OP is very misleading.  It says "if" not it is going to happen.  They give a reason that he would benefit from signing back with the Vikings but it damn sure isn't written in stone.  Team friendly mean much less than what his rookie contract gave him.

If Gettleman has a trump card in his brother.  A reasonable deal and the opportunity to play on the same line as big bro is a tease.

I just wonder if his last name wasn't Kalil if everyone would be so keen to sign this mediocre LT.  He could still turn his career around into a decent one, but nothing I've seen of him and what Vikes fans say makes me think the switch is about to be flipped on for him.

Edit: As for Kalil, it's all about taking a flier on a guy that won't break the bank, but has shown some talent before injuries and falling from grace. And, it's not like we don't need depth.

Some of you act like it's a franchise changing decision.

He would have been a guy to take a flier on, not someone you hand the job the day he signs. With that said, he had the talent to bevaluate decent LT but can never stay healthy to start progressing.

I still think if he came over and player on the line with his brother, he would get the most out of him.
