Mike Greenberg has Cam's back more than Ron Rivera

Truthfully your point of view is pretty naive. Calling people out in public only tends to polarize each other's position and change the focus from a mutual solution to pointing fingers and taking a defensive posture. There can be a time and place for public disclosure when other efforts fail or there is a cover-up and normal discourse fails, but it is not a smart way to conduct business unless other options are exhausted.

Apparently the issue videos did not work it was an ongoing issue. And Cam felt that all that Ron and Gertes were doing was not working..how long or what results do wish to have Cam legs taken out carried out on a stretcher or serouis head trauma that leaves him a vegetable...NFL player safety did not start yesterday its been going on for some yrs now. So yes its exhausted.

I agree to disagree with you and others on this that may take your viewing...It is just an opinion  that we have and we are on opposing sides I take your views and I see where you are going ..i agree there are certain ways to handle things and sometimes its not good to air your dirty laundry but this is not airing dirty laundry ...your trying to clean the dirty laundry its already been seen ...the dirty laundry are the illegal hits on a QB ..not you tryi g to fix it.

Its absolutely maddening that our coach and organization doesn't have our 100 million dollar mvp qb's back. The most important player in the history of our franchise is on his own I guess. High school coaches stick up more for their qb's.

Un fuggin believable!

Riveraa said he had been dealing with the issue ..its an ongoing issue it did not start a month ago it started in the SB we only have what 16 games.. it was almost half way thru the season before he said anything public and yes things happen behind close doors but how long would it have taken if Cam had not said anything for him to become vocal about it ...i am not lost on anything. Airing dirty laundry hell the dirty laundry was aired on national tv. Why did he speak publicly about all Cams other issues so fast? Why he complain about the scheduling thats dirty laundry?

i guess you don't know that complaining about refs publically is against NFL rules and punishable by fines or suspensions. It is not even close to complaining about the schedule or other issues over the season. So first you don't hurt your team or get fined during the season for inappropriate comments but instead wait until after the season or again do in through appropriate channels. Secondly are you really naive enough to believe that Cam bitching changed anything other than prompt a response from Goddell giving lip service to the issue? Did the head shots continue? Yes they did only now each hit was prefaced by a comment that it was legal and not an issue and a general perception that Cam is a whiner and crybaby.

I don't know how you think that worked out well. Anyone knows when you blow whistles on folks everyone circles the wagon and efforts are on covering up not solving the problem. That should be obvious to anyone who pays a modicum of attention to the way things work.

Eh, it sounds like Greenberg was trying to get a reaction out of Rivera.

Now, do I believe Ron is sticking up for Cam? Yes. I mean, you'd have to be an idiot to think otherwise. However, Rivera is a spineless PC coach. That's who he is overall. He's not the type to rustle feathers nor is he the type to be genuine in front of the media/cameras. Ron can be classy but he's not being classy here. He's being a loyal company guy who doesn't want to get a possible fine, a stern talking to from the NFL and Jerry, and the spotlight on us for the wrong reasons. I don't blame him at all.

That said, Ron needs to stand up just once and show some damn conviction. Then again, so do our players on offense and defense. Look at the Matt Moore hit from a few weeks ago. Teammates of Moore did not tolerate it. They stood up for him during the game. James dragged Dupree's ass to the ground via facemask the following play. Then there was the Titan-Bronco game too.

Straight up, our boys need to protect Cam too. They're just as responsible. Turner, Norwell, Benjamin, etc need to be on a defender the moment they hit Cam in the head instead of just standing around looking clueless. It pissed me off. This team showed no testicular fortitude. They let it happen! God forbid my teammate received a cheap shot.

The atmosphere has to be "if the refs aren't going to protect us, then we gotta protect ourselves".

I guess you are a Rex Ryan fan then. Funny but Ryan is sitting at home without a job while Rivera went to the Superbowl last year and has been coach of the year 2 out of the last 4 years. I guess Ron knows something you and Sexy Rexy don't have a clue about.

As for what should players do? Get even but don't be stupid. You can give someone a legal shot without dragging them down by the facemask which is stupid. If you have played you know that you can let them know how you feel without getting a penalty or fine.it is about being smart.

Oh shut the fug up. You sound like a pretentious windbag. Again, I clearly stated that Ron is sticking up for Cam and that it was the intelligent thing to avoid blasting the refs on live air. Why does he have to Sexy Rexy in order for him to finally show some damn emotion and conviction? No, there's a happy medium inbetween, numb nuts. Ron can be classy and PC but also be a field general on the sidelines and podium when needed too. Enough of this poo. We all know what Ron is at this point so don't try to bullpoo me with your asinine analysis of how a head coach should behave.

Read comprehension, it's sort of important, brah.

Getting even? What does it resolve? How about opposing players not running away with those inches that the refs aren't moderating properly? As several former players themselves have stated numerous times on air, if you fail to keep control of the game players will go beyond the norm and see what they can get away with. Look at how the game between the Broncos-Titans and Steelers-Dolphins were called after the incidents. The refs were on high alert and the players were kept in check. Now, compare those games with ours against Denver...

Nut up or shut up. Being "good boys" only made us tentative and appear weak.

And you sound like a middle schooler playing internet tough guy.  How come you can't find middle ground in your posts vacillating from one side to the other. If you want to be taken seriously try sounding like a rational adult and stop with the insults and ridiculous comments like nut up or shut up. Seriously?????

I don't think anyone is asking Rivera to get up on a podium and make an ass out of himself. My problem with him in this situation is that he makes it harder for Cam to be officiated fairly by basically siding with the refs and making excuses for why Cam doesn't get calls like other quarterbacks. Rivera constantly gives the refs a pass by using the idiotic size argument. He needs to stop bringing that up. If I was ref and I hear a coach agreeing with me on how his players are officiated, why would I change?

Its a couple of "fans" that speak wirh some sort of self imposed authority. They type paragraphs. They use backhanded insults. However,  those of us with common sense, see right through you. You are go-along to get-along, establishment boot licking types. The Brass can never do anything wrong and besides that dancing black 'athlete' thats back there playing QB, brings most of it on himself. Your arguments are soo weak, you constantly introduce strawmen, just so you can tear them down and pat yourself on the back in the process. Pathetic. Ron shouldn't have to downplay anything. Get in Cams corner and stay there...intelligently.

If y'all didn't notice, it got worse when Ron, Cam, and the rest of the team started speaking out. Strategic decision imo.

Worse?

How can you get worse than the zero calls Cam was getting before?

Did I somehow miss the refs calling personal fouls on Cam for hitting defenders with his head while in the pocket or something?

Worse bc the horrible officiating went beyond Cam, extending to the whole team. Worse bc Cam distracted the team with his comments. Absolutely nothing got better because of the team's complaining. Au contraire, it ran our season into the ground. Don't complain, don't explain, just get up.
