NFL Draft Analyst Ethan Young (The Guy Who Rated Bradberry The Best Corner Of The 2016 Draft)'s Runningback List

With the offseason in full swing, I'll be searching the internet to examine and find some nice analysis, data pieces, and rankings of draft possibilities.

In this particular thread, I'll be taking a look at Ethan Young's Runningback List. This guy was the one who predicted James Bradberry to be a beast, so arguably he knows his stuff:

So, without further ado, here's his list:

Here's some thoughts:

1. Christian McCaffery Is 8th On This List; Borderline "Average" Starter

With all the talk concerning the talent and such of Christian McCaffery, it's rather surprising to see how low he is on this list. That arguably can be attributed to his unique hybrid style of being a WR and RB. He's really not a true runningback in a sense.

Here's how Ethan defended such a position:

Relatively good, blunt analysis on McCaffery. Sure puts in perspective we might get better value if he truly does drop.

2. RB D'onta Foreman is 12th; Strictly Power

Originally, one of my dream mocks included Foreman in the 2nd round, with Jamal Adams in the first.

Ethan doesn't think he'd be worthy of such a pick:

As I originally noted, he is a true power back. On tape, he looked real good at such. 

However, I never really considered his conference: Big 12.

That does play a critical role in his inflated production. It is true he has issues in the passing game, and he could work on pass protection - like most college to NFL rbs - but I guess it is daunting to say he may just only be a heavy, slower version of CAP with how he's not as solid of a blocker.

I still think Foreman is better than such, and could fit on our power scheme, but it does give me the impression to not be surprised to see him fall to the 3rd-4th round.

Extra: He Likes A Player Gettleman Likes:

 

That's an interesting development. Looks like Gettleman is truly gonna be eyeing this guy as a possible prospect. Don't be surprised if we do try and snag this guy with this potential.

Anyhow, just a little interesting thing I found.

I may be a homer but TJ Logan is a good RB...not on many "lists"...

I disagree with focus, and anticipation.  Watch the Aubrun game.  He was fluid between the tackles, and has a ton of patience and waits for the holes to open.
