I give you credit, you are a die hard for a franchise that hasn't made it out of the first round of the playoffs in over a decade and a half. I salute you.

I'm neither mad nor thrilled, but I see why they made the trade. A much better P&R big than either of the outgoing players who's also younger and less likely to get muscled past in the post. He'll play 18 mins a game, it's not like this is a crippling deal like some think

12.5 million per year for 4 years. He averages 2 ppg and 1 rpg. Not seeing it. You have a good day though done paying attention to this franchise till the front office decision makers get their heads out of their butts.

I totally get the deal from the Bucs end because they get to clear cap space sooner this way than just keeping Plumlee as a bench warmer but I don't get it for the Hornets. Hopefully he balls out and proves me wrong but this just seems like a bad deal.

Maybe we will followup with something else that will make this look less bad(by being awesome not by being way worse) but I don't have hope.

When given time (in Phoenix), Plumlee was actually a nice player. A star, of course not...but useful.

 

And people balking at the 12 million a year thing...I mean, what do you expect? That's how NBA contracts are now. We literally just witnessed an offseason where Timofey Mozgov got 16-17 million a year, and Al Jefferson's carcass brought 10 a year. Gone are the days where role players made 5 million a year.

Am I the only one who likes the deal? Legit contract for a back up center in the mold of Cody Zeller which this team desperately needed. Like someone else mentioned guys like Mozgov got 17per. Hell, look at the Biyombo contract.

Hope we make another move or two. Isn't Tony Wroten in the D league? Should use the last roster spot and give him a look.

Long ago I gave up trying to understand NBA salaries. Then last year happen and now I have permitted brain damage. I member miles plumpee form Duke and even his best days playing for D'antonis suns. How the league put itself in this position for guys like plumpee to get 12.5 mill per over multiple years........
