It wouldn't be a bad pick but given the other talent available,  Hooker wouldn't be BPA.  Coleman is 29 and he would have at least 2-3 years left. Wait a couple of years to replace colmeman.

Hes not going to make it past the Chargers.  Gus Bradley is their new DC.  He was the orginal DC in Seattle who created legion of boom drafting Earl Thomas in the 1st and Kam Chancellor in the 5th.  Safeties are are vital part of his D and he drools over rangy FS

I agree he fits the Chargers like a glove..... but could we really see TWO safeties come off the board in the first seven picks??

Adams fits us better, but man, that could be a first..... 2 SAF in the top-7.

Tackling can be taught. Speed, instincts, size and hands cannot. 

At safety missed tackles is a lot more of an impact than at LB.

IMO, no he wouldn't be. This guy looks legit and he can cover ground. Would you be willing to pass on Earl Thomas simply because Kurt Coleman is better at FS than SS? You'd be crazy if you are.

Not saying Hooker = Thomas, but IMO he has that type ofpotential.

I think regardless we need to draft two Safeties, Coleman's replacement can be had in the later rounds IMO. Can't go wrong strengthening our piss poor pass defense
