Did you read the part where I said do whatever you have to do to restrain her until the police arrive? If your children are ever unfortunate enough to be put in a situation like that, please remember that they're better off with you not in jail and supporting them than they are "happy" you defended their honor and punched their mother. They would need their Dad in a situation like that. Punching her would be for you, not for them.

Topic is just one of one hot button ones. Maybe you wouldnt allow a woman full of rage with rings on to whale on your kids/family/mother etc, and not be " well Ms.....Excuse me Ms....Would you please reframe form beating ___ or I'll be forced to call the police". I hope so, realize some types cannot be reasoned with. For some reason I happen to attract a certain type of crazy and dealt with groups of drunken girls. If not for bruised wrists, knowing the deputy, and having a great reputation I'd been one of those falsely accused. I'm not saying that you don't have a right to defend yourself or your family, but can you look at that video and say that man was in danger? I just can't see it. Smart people of all genders know that taking things to the level of physicality is stupid. You punch somebody in the face, you might lose your whole livelihood. If Joe Mixon walks away from that and calls the police to look at the footage, that girl spends the night in the tank and maybe even catches a charge. Especially if he calls campus police as a star football player. It's not okay that she put hands on him. It's just double not okay that he decided to physically retaliate as a grown ass man who works out every day and has a future in the NFL waiting for him. We tried to tolerate Greg Hardy's stupid ass for as long as we could justify it, but stupid is going to find a way to stupid. We're not going to invite that energy back into our organization. 

And I feel like you're low key trying to call me a pushover for having the opinion that I do. That's fine, but I keep everything I earn. Nobody hustles me out of anything. If you feel like someone is trying to get something out of you, the worst thing you can do is let them have it. Because just like you see here, in the real world when you do something incomprehensibly stupid you give people the option to take what belongs to you. Your freedom, your money, your pride, your name. This idiot here took the full stick because he couldn't keep himself in check like a man. I came at you with an open mind. I asked you to give me an example of a situation you'd say it was okay to punch a woman. You gave me one and I responded and it messed your logic up because you know I was right. That's how an open mind works. How it doesn't work is ignoring the points made against your argument and just saying "Man, I wish people understood things the way I understand things. I'm the only one in the universe that's ever dealt with a dramatic drunk woman." You're literally the exact type of person you just described. I'm ready to hear whatever you've got to say on it, but you're going to keep on being wrong in new ways because you can't justify acting like trash.

Joe was wrong, not going to judge him on the video. Maybe lots more to story, they may have had a history. Asking a young drunken guy to keep his emotions in check after getting spit on, that's infinite difficulty. I don't know at that time in my life I'd been able to do the right thing in those conditions. I hope I would. Later on in life I awoken to fit 160 on top of me picking a fight(she had werid fetishes), slugged me in face bit me while I was holding her wrists. I did not hit her. Had groups of drunken girls claw me like wolvine, needing hospital visits that includes getting shots and antibodies.

I think you misunderstand. I advocate self defense. I don't think anyone should ever be made a victim. However, you have to be aware of when you're crossing the line of going from being the victim to being the one that's creating a victim. Do whatever the hell you have to do to stay alive if you're being attacked and you feel that you are literally in danger. If that means someone gets punched, then someone gets punched. But I know few women that I feel like could threaten my life without being armed. Since that's the case, I wouldn't ever come at a woman like that just like I would never come at a child like that.
