Arsenal tried to sign Lemar, Lacazette and Mbappe.  Monaco rejected both Lemar and Mbappe...  would have been insane transfer window.  Arsenal is still hopeful to sign either Lemar or Mbappe.

Lyon accepted £50M bid for 26 year old Lacazette and deal should be finalized in coming days.  Sorry Athletico!  Lacazette will be 2nd signing of the season after £40M rated Sead Kolasinac came on free because Schalke screwed up.

Not much happening on the United front, but...

Per ESPNFC

- Madrid may be coming off their €70M evaluation of Morata.

- Phil Jones will not be sold and Mou would like to keep Darmian as well.

- Perisic has given his agent the go ahead to seek out a move to United.

- United is keeping tabs on Celtic left back Kieran Tierney.

BeIN reports that Lacazette is in London for medical scheduled for tomorrow.  They are also reporting that Mahrez is next.  Leicester Mercury reports that Arsenal and Mahrez have mutual interest.  Leicester in a process of acquiring Mahrez replacement.

If Alexis and Ozil stick around... Arsenal attack will be scary good.

Alexis-Lacazette-Mahrez

Ozil

This doesn't mean poo in the long run.. I mean, Bale was on a billboard for us in Times Square right before he got sold. TIMES FRICKIN' SQUARE!

If they pony up the dough, anything is possible.

If Arsenal buys Mbappe and sales Alexis, I won't be mad :p

Santi Cazorla career is officially over, now Arsenal are in a market for a new CM.  Arsenal medical stuff tho he'll be a full go this August but after multiple tests, his Achilles healed incorrectly and he will need another Achilles surgery and another year to recover.

Cazorla was amazing player, sad to see him go out like that.

Madrid has FINALLY announced the signing of LB Theo Hernandez from Atletico Madrid. Theo was signed for around 26 million pounds. Now they'll turn their attention to Ceballos, hoping to beat out Barcelona for his signature. It sounds like Ceballos does not want to go back out on loan as he's concerned about the Betis fans' treatment of him (and how much game time he would get), so Madrid will likely have to convince Ceballos that he would be in their regular first team (18 man match day squad) in order to sell him on the move. Shouldn't be an issue tbh, as James and Morata & Danilo at minimum are departing. All three players were regulars on the 18, so Ceballos should fill James' spot fine. If/when Ceballos is wrapped up, we could finally get some traction on Mbappe. Hard to believe he wants to go anywhere else, as he would likely have already been there with the money talked about. I still think he ultimately gets loaned back to Monaco for a year, but there's a much clearer path to playing significant minutes at Madrid now with Morata and James out. I also think he could extend his Monaco deal/get a pay raise for a year, with a gentleman's agreement that he'll move to Madrid after the World Cup, but I would rather lock him up now.

I'd love to get James with Cazorla done...  but Arsenal #1 target right is Thomas Lemar.  Monaco will not let both Mbappe and Lemar go so this should get interesting.
