Matic got exposed last year.  He struggled against speed but finished the year strong.

Oh for sure, he leaves a lot to be desired in the pace department but he is an ugrade over what we have at that position right now. That CDM position was filled my committee last year with Pogba and Carrick receiving the majority of the caps.

Ideally, Pogba will start higher up the pitch to try and generate some sort of attack with Matic being the starter at defense mid and Carrick coming on to spell him. Fosu-Mensah may also see a couple of caps, the preseason wil be big for him.

Per ESPNFC

- Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli says that United are days away from signing Fabinho. I'm not sure of the validity of this journalist, but if the Matic deal goes through then I see no reason to sign Fabinho. That would be overkill.

- Rooney is still deciding his future. Most people believe he'll stay in the EPL whether it's with United or another squad. The MLS and China are still options as well.

- Mou told United to go get Kane at all costs but the Spurs are not selling him and did not even provide a target fee.

Liverpool wants Oxe for £30M.  Arsenal want around £50M.  Should be interesting.

Arsenal might be forced to sell Ozil, Alexis, Oxe and Giroud.... That might be £180M in revenue....  Wilshere, Cazorla, Gibbs, Perez, Mertesacker, Ospina, Sezcny are also for sale... Arsenal can make £260M this summer just in player sale...  on top of £160M available...  £420M in possible transfer funds.... fuging insane.

Waiting to see how this one plays out but...

Per ESPNFC

- The Matic deal is currently on hold as Mou may actually prefer Radja Nainggolan from Roma. The rumor mentions that a Nainggolan could be signing for around the same amount that Matic was supposedly signing for (£40M). United's sudden change of course, could leave Matic out to dry.

- United are still said to be interested in Fabinho and are willing to play him at right back and in the midfield.

- United are still waiting on Rooney to decide his future and would like answer before the the preseason tour in the States.

- Darmian is drawing interest from Juventus, unlikely they will sign him but that would be a good spot for him.

- Andreas Pereira is returning to United this year and will be given a shot to earn a spot in the rotation.

- Perez has come out again and stated that there have been no talks with United for Morata (he's full of crap).

- Martial has come out and said he will not be leaving United and has no desire to, he is quoted as saying the rumors are "false".

- No update on Smalling potentially leaving the club but ESPN puts the probability meter at a 7/10.

United has signed Northern Ireland's U17 captain, Ethan Galbraith. He'll start with Angel Gomez and the U18 squad and hopefully make his way up.

Bruh, its an academy player.....

Still more action than my club has seen....

It's going to get crazy.  Sanchez might go to City and Arsenal still trying to sign Lemar, Mbappe and Lacazette.

Marca is reporting that Giroud is leaving......  It will get crazy very soon.

Lemar said he wants to play for Arsenal and his signing basically says "Bye Alexis" because they play the same position.  Lemar is much faster and has an insane curve ball which is rarely seen.  He is also 8 years younger and can play CM which Alexis cannot.  Lemar also was one of the top passers in Europe last year.  I'm pretty excited.  Arsenal is submitting improved bit for him tomorrow.

Come on down Ceballos! Join Llorente, Vallejo and Asensio. :D

It sounds like Ceballos will spend next season on loan at Betis, and Llorente likely will join him. I'm fine with that plan, if it locks up Ceballos on the cheap. I'm also fine with Mbappe being loaned for a season too. Real Madrid is in a position where they don't absolutely need their transfers to contribute right away. I do think RB could be tricky if Danilo leaves though. Hakimi isn't ready for the senior team yet.
