Summer 2017 Transfer Season

Per ESPNFC:

Utd. has expressed interest in Barca left back Jordi Alba. Utd does not have a set left back and rotated Rojo, Darmian, Blind, and Shaw at that position last year; Borthwick-Jackson and Mitchell may also be given a chance to compete for the position next year if a stalwart is not added.

Reports indicate that Alba is reciprocating the interest but that he would prefer to stay at Camp Nou if new manager Ernesto Valverde wants him.

Arsenal hasn't sold or bought anyone.  Arsenal is being Arsenal.

My guys too... nothing, not even a credible blip on the radar. Oh, rumors are going around, but that's just it.. rumors.

Not really.

Kroos is on a steal of a contract. Same with Asensio. Pepe and Coentrao aren't getting extended. Varane and Carvajal are getting paid peanuts compared to other players at their positions. Selling James or Morata alone would cover for it.

We didn't have to do much for Bale so signing Mbappe to a big contract isn't a massive hit to the club.

You do realize your club net spend is like £45M over the last few years?  Your club makes huge money but their expense bill is insane.  They couldn't even afford to fix their own stadium.

Darmian is drawing interest from Juventus.

It would be in the Italian's best interest to return home.

Utd's left back position is in flux and if a player is looking for meaningful time at that position they probably should search elsewhere.

Currently, Blind, Borthwick-Jackson, Darmian, Mitchell, Rojo, and Shaw all have the capability of playing that position. Based of last seasons appearances it seems as though Mou values the depth as follows: 1) Rojo 2) Blind 3) Darmian 4) Shaw 5) Mitchell 6) Borthwick-Jackson.

Hopefully Darmian is able to return to form at another club.

Every club has debt. Manchester United is now in the #1 spot. We've dropped to #11. In addition, we're close to being the #1 club with endorsement deals. So we'll overtake Manchester United for the highest grossing club for revenue in the next 1-3 years.

We're in great shape, my man.

It could be sooner tbh.

Utd. had great financial numbers but if the pound continues to devalue they'll lose ground to the Spanish clubs.

Per ESPNFC

Utd. is closing in on Monaco defensive midfielder Fabinho.

Fabinho is a young versatile player that should see the majority of his time at CDM with United but he's capable of playing centerback as well as right back.

A fee of €35M has reportedly been agreed upon with a €5M kick-in dependent on appearances and goals.

The reported deal is expected to be announced soon.

Currently United would line up as:

GK: De Gea, RB: Valencia, CB: Bailly, CB: Lindelof, LB: Rojo, CDM: Fabinho, CM: Pogba, CM: Herrera, LM: Martial, RM: Mkhitaryan, CF: Rashford

Not with the revenue projected to increase from TV deals.
