I would guess it was so badly torn/stretched/swollen, blood wasn't circulating properly.

I'm sorry but he has got to be doing something wrong it's like rG3 he plays like a dumbass on the field he takes stupid unnecessary hits, he's really reckless and gets hurt unnecessarily.

I would assume it was from some kind of cut move, but yeah saving the leg had to do with circulation and nerve damage.

The reports said players were vomiting after seeing his injury. Must have been horrific.

Teddy Bridgewater suffered a non contact injury in practice.  Please do your research before you make accusations like that.

It was a freak accident. They were running non contact drills, he took the snap form under center and twisted but his knee stayed in place and everything else exploded. He wasn't doing anything more strenuous than any other QB taking a snap from under center, it was just a really really unfortunate thing to happen.

his injury was so bad that apparently there was a chance he was gonna have to get his leg amputated.

Even if he was healthy I wouldn't rush to put him behind the Vikes OL again
