Three guys Gettleman likes: Villanova DE Tanoh Kpassagnon, TE O.J. Howard and A&M DE Myles Garrett (not at Sr bowl) per Jourdan Rodrigue

Who doesn't like Myles Garrett? But glad to get that snippet of info on the other two.

It is smokescreen season also, so there's that.

I found it interesting cause it sounds like he'd be fine with taking OJ Howard at 8 if he really does like him like he says

Tyler Eifert in '13 and Hunter Henry last year.... the OJ Howard love is that wildcard that will linger in the air until draft night. There's definitely better value vs. need that could be available at #8, but man, Howard is knocking on the door of the top-10 and I think by the end of the combine/pro-day period, he will be sitting there prime for the plucking.

Not saying it's the most likely, but wouldn't be surprised if he is the selection at 8.  If they can address LT, DE and SS in FA, then Howard at 8 becomes more of a desirable choice. If Fournette goes to the 49ers, Jags or Jets, watch out.

Posted yesterday by DJ.  A taller version of Shannon Sharpe?? Comps to Jimmy Graham and Greg Olsen??

Watching some draftbreakdown vids of him, his blocking jumps out at me immediately. He's big, super athletic and has great hands, but man, his contributions to the OL and downfield blocking is something we could certainly use. A duo of Olsen-Howard would make me very very happy.  Shula has been lobbying for TE help, and maybe his little voice gets heard more this year.

I'm 100000% ok with taking OJ Howard if Adams Hooker and Fournette are gone. I know some see it as overkill but I believe another athletic pass catching tight end on the field with Greg Olsen would do wonders for our offense (provided Shula doesn't F it up)

If you can grab any of the top prospects at their position in the draft it's not a bad move , unless you have a young franchise QB like we do I suppose it wouldn't make sense for us to draft Trubinsky, Watson, or Kizer.

If his skills translate to the NFL that will make us much more dangerous and also will let Greg rest alot more and stay healthy as he gets older .

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
