So, if Rey is Palpatine's granddaughter, would it make more sense for Snoke to be:

a) Darth Plaguis

b) reboot of Darth Nihilus 

c) third option

There's a theory that Snoke is Mace Windu after getting disfigured and whatnot by the Emperor and that Finn is his son but yeah theories are theories.    If you watch Force Awakens, Rylo looks right at Finn when Finn (imo force driggers).   First scene.    When they find out Finn is gone, he gets really angry, like he was supposed to be "watching" out for him.   I don't think he was a regular storm trooper, etc.  

Or it's someone completely new from across the galaxy (old, not new, but yeah).

What about the theory that Rey is just Anakin reincarnated, and that he/she was/is the chosen one that will perpetually bring balance to the Force through his/her life and death and everything is cyclical?

Rey: Are you my father?

I think this is a strong possibility. Perhaps Rey is Anakin's redemption. But I think if they go that route it would deminish Anakin's story line. Anakin did bring balance to the force. He wiped out the Jedi and the Sith. That's just my opinion so maybe Abrams had a different one.

It would also take away Luke's importance as well. Lucas once said that Luke Skywalker has all the potential his father had as the chosen one. To have Rey be the same caliber of character would be a bit much to me. Unless she is his daughter.

She obviously had a connection to Anakin's lightsaber. So it's gotta be a Skywalker connection. 

Would be an interesting route if she was a Palpetine though.
