Looking back at  ATL offense this season, it reminded of the days  when we had a similar RB tandem that gashed opposing defenses.

The best way to improve the overall defense is by having a consistent run game, look at the how Seattle & Denver defenses have struggled with loss of Lynch & Anderson.

We should restructure J-Stew's  deal & pair him with Fournette for 1-2 punch that can run outside, inside, while providing comptent pass protection.

Shula should take a page from Shanahan's playbook and learn how to utilize the RBs in the receiving game.

Alt choice Christan McCaffery

Yep...

2 feature back system would be wonderful.

I might dare to say that fournette and jstew could be significantly more dangerous than the previous duo.

Keep that d off the field and open up the play action.

I still want to hear someone put forth a decent argument for restructuring Stewart. Restructuring usually involves converting unguaranteed salary to guaranteed bonus money pushing more cap hit down the road. Why would we want to push guaranteed money down the road on a 30 year old injury prone RB? Especially when we aren't up against the cap. It would be senseless.

Even if we are able to nab Fournette, I have zero confidence that Shula would even use him right. let alone both of them.

Shula can learn, now that's funny.

Well JR > DG > Ron > Cam > have trust in him and thats our guy so we gotta roll with him.

Give him the proper players aka RB/TE combo and we will have top 5 offense that doens't rely on defensive turnovers.

I just dont see Fournette getting past Jax.

I like the idea of Foreman in the 2nd after we get Adams in the 1st

Giving us Stewart, Foreman, Fozzy (re-signed)

Remember Earth wind and fire or whatever they had in NY with that trio that included Brandon Jacobs.  That, the D, and a Tree of a WR in Plax won Eli his first ring

If you need the perfect roster, then you're not much of a coach. A good coach adapts his system to fit his players. We've seen zero ability to adapt from Shula.

Sometimes you can extend out his contract 1-3 years and help spread out the wealth dampening the load next year

Jacksonville will go defense, Stars will line up for the Panthers.

I rather get McCaffrey and use him in the slot and improves our special team.

What if DG double dipped on RBs with Fournette/ McCaffrey (basically another WR)

He has 1 year worth of salary to be prorated.

Spread that out over 3, front load it into this year (something we can dayum sure afford) and make him essentially free to cut in year 2 and 3. Heck, go into year 4 if you like.

If he thinks he can get paid more elsewhere... let him.

We have seen DG draft multiples at a position.

Although I would loathe that to be at RB, it is clear that double trouble is not on the roster if it isn't with jstew.

Possibly but I think ive read where they like Fournette.  Theyve invested a Lot in the D the last few years.  Top 5 picks last year (and 6 out of theyre 7) were on D, #1 pick in 15 was on D, spent $ on guys like Malik Jackson.  Mean while have left theyre young QB bare.  Coughlin is in the front office and while hes a defensive guy he wants to salvage his young QB.  Getting a guy hyped as the next AP and investing a little on the OL couod be a priority for them this year.

I wouldn't do it. We don't need the space next season. Either we pay him $8.25M to play or we pay him $3.5M to walk. In 2018, his cap hit is reduced to $2.5M.

If we want him on the roster for two more years, that's already taken care of in the current contract with very little risk beyond this season.
