KK wants 17 million a year?

With the Falcons and Saints offenses being the way they are, and expected improvement from Tampas offense, we cannot afford for our DLine to get any weaker. You can't go into the season expecting much from Butler, because we saw what happened when we did that with Ealy. You know what you've got with KK. Two years now he's been a top 5 DT. Pay him, as he has earned his top 5 DT money.

If you aren't going to pay your draft picks when they perform then you need to acknowledge that there is a "window" and you need to hit it. Otherwise you aren't trying to win championships you're just trying to run a respectable and profitable franchise.

KK is about to be 30 and we drafted his replacement last year.

Norman was long in the tooth too.

DG paid Cam and Luke... he pays up when players are truly franchise players.

We can do without KK.

Let him play under the tag and then either earn what he will get in FA in 2018 or have a down year and maybe get a 3 year contract from us.

Or, tag n trade... but that'll never happen.

Or, an incentive heavy contract. I vote we give him 1M per sack... paid in arrears. You want 17M, KK? Ok, give us 17 sacks lol

Eventually you have to pay players. Luke and Cam were no brainers, come on he doesn't get credit for that. KK and Norman were top 3 defensive players on a team that almost went undefeated in route to a super bowl appearance. You let Norman walk with the thought being you could retain a guy like KK. If they both walk back to back years, Gettleman should be fired. That would be like Seattle losing Bennett and Sherman in back to back seasons.
