FT him for around $13.5M for 2017 and then peace out in 2018. FT was $13.4M in '16 and I've seen projections that have it dropping down.  

There are also other DTs in FA that we can score for less than $13MM/yr. Johnathan Hankins with the NYG comes to mind, as well as guys like Dontari Poe (Can KC sign him and Berry?), Akeem Spence and maybe Nick Fairley if NO doesn't resign him.

I'm all for people getting money and fuging bitches but 17 million he couldn't go for like 14

And even if it was the number, it could just be a starting point in negotiations.  No point in getting upset about it for now.
