Panthers stuck with Dorsey

Proehl himself has spoken on the matter and very clearly said it's for his sons.

Unless you want to go to the incredibly moronic length of saying he's using his sons to lie so he can protect an organization that just screwed him over, there's nothing to it.

I just have a issue with timing, why did proehl take nearly a full month to make this move? Most times these moves happen a couple days after the final game. If he fully intend to step down, why the long wait? This isn't the norm, cause during this time a few WR got hired and fired. It's smells.

Amazing how fast fans are to crap on the folks who got this team to be legitimate competitors and NFC champs just because we had an off year riddled with injuries and a big target on our collective backs.

Three straight years of playoffs for a team that hadn't been anywhere in January in forever, an offense that was built to bring Cam along into an NFL capable QB -- evolving as he did, and made the most of talent on site or available for the pennies we had free and available.

Then we churn out a 6-10 season with half of our starters either out or walking wounded and you guys want blood to run in the streets. Go the frick back to playing Madden and with yourselves. You folks would have spit on Muhammad Ali after the first time he lost the heavyweight title.

Grow up, grow a spine and get some character. Next year's going to be better and we'll be back to the playoffs.

Yeah but to be contenders just isn't enough and inconsistency makes it even less likely for fans to be appreciative. Some people are OK with just making the playoffs HOWEVER some people would actually like to go to the Super Bowl and actually come home with the Lombardi. Going to the Super Bowl every 10+ years isnt enough for some people and that is completely understandable as a fan you should always want our franchise to get better and do better it's not about shitting on people is about if you don't do the job and we can't get there then we need to get someone else consistency is the problem with this whole franchise from the front office on down

See, the thing is, everyone in Pantherland is frustrated right now. And yes, fans have every right to complain. But let's put this in perspective. I have been a Lions fan for darn near half a century. The Panthers have had more success in their short period, than the Lions have in my lifetime.

So let us please get off the "We deserve" train shall we? As fans, we are allowed to let emotions cloud our judgment. We can call for heads to roll, and coaches to be fired. That is all well and good. Because, as fans, that is all we really have. An emotional attachment.

So IMHO, it all comes down to one thing. Do you trust the powers that be to turn this thing around? If you do, you probably still see a bright future. If you don't, the frustration level is probably through the roof. Either way, we all want the same thing. Success. No one in Pantherland wants less than a Lombardi or two, or three.

No matter how folks spin it. We all want a winning team. We all want to crow about our teams success. We just seem to disagree on how to go about getting there.

Short story long. Can't we all just get along?

Can someone explain to me the hate for Dorsey? I seriously don't get it.

The more explanations for a down year for Newton the better. When a decimated line is really as far as you need to look for any external reasons.

Is it not a sign that no one wants these coaches? Seriously, on paper and looking in from the outside, Shula had the number 1 offense last year. Not even a tap for an interview. I'd rather have Weinke here as QB coach then Dorsey, who literally has no tools on being a QB. Shula could have went with McD, but he knew better. This should all tell you something about this organizaiton.

Why don't you join the team and help? Everybody wants to be a fan of a SB winning team.  Are you the best in the world at whatever you do? If so congratulations but realistically that doesn't make you a loser.

You don't know how this all works. Read the thread. Pay attention to what people say in it. Read articles on the subject. Research things for yourself. But don't just say ignorant things.
