Raiders file paper work to relocate to Vegas

This just means more trips to Vegas for me.

The stadium will not have a problem ever selling out. All the Casino magnates (Sands, Caesars, MGM Resorts, Wynn, Boyd) will control much of the tickets (after Sands Corporation owned by Adelson who is helping finance the stadium).

Wow, the next 2 season in Oakland are going to be extremely awkward.

Surprised the Raiders didn't decide to play at UNLV's stadium, it has 10k more seats than the Stadium the Chargers are playing in next year.

Visiting teams are going to have fun enforcing curfew in Vegas....

That stadium is a bit of a dump. In fact, the original intent of the stadium project was for UNLV to get something right by campus. Raiders essentially hijacked the whole affair and last I heard, the university has to pay to play at the new stadium that is still a few miles away.

In theory, Sam Boyd is a possibility but the league would demand for a bevy of costly upgrades first.

Based on everything that I have followed on this topic for the past 12 months, the Raiders were initially supposed to move into a plot of land just east of where MGM Grand sits (LOT 3). This was to be the shared stadium with UNLV.

However, that quickly dissolved and the new plans now call for Lots 2 and 1 which is immediately south of Mandalay Bay at the golf course or to the West of the 15 Freeway across from Mandalay Bay.

Never have to worry about tailgaiting outside in the heat when you can just party and drink at the casino and bars already there.

In the business aspect, this is interesting because much of the money will come from Sands Corporation which is a rival of MGM Resorts International. By placing the stadium directly adjacent to Mandalay Bay, this will provide an increase in traffic and overall revenue for MGM Resorts. I am looking for a partnership between Sands and MGM on this venture.

As i posted on my facebook, if they also include Steve Wynn, they can buy the new Raiders slogan to "Just Wynn Baby"

I've been waiting for this moment forever.

I'm the most degenerate gambler I know (not named @RoaringRiot) and this will be epic having a sea of Panthers fans on the Vegas strip.

Bad part is we played at Raiders this season. So we won't be IN Vegas for 7 more seasons. The way I do things I'll be lucky to be here for that one. You guys make sure to go without me though.

Are you planning on being there but your liver isn't cooperating?
