ticket prices have gone up also (between 20 and 80% depending on where you're sitting). The one downfall of finishing with a 12-4 record.

Raiders fan base is kinda weird(shocking statement I know) and they really seem to be of the Raider Nation philosophy. Most are Raider fans. Not Oakland Raider fans or LA Raider fans, just Raider fans. The outrage in STL and SD was 100x greater.

It's only one report from a radio guy that works in Oakland but I'm hearing that it's not sitting well at all.

I assume that even Raiders are human beings but maybe not.  Honey I am filling for divorce but will still live with you until my new spouse is ready in a new mansion?  Fug no!!!!

They should go to San Antonio for two years then.  The logistics may make little sense, but better than despicably staying with a market you've just $hat on.

I'm from Vegas so I can say that we only have one realistic temporary venue where we could host the Raiders and it's a bit of a dump. Of course, if the Chargers are really going to play at Stub Hub next season, anything is possible.

Wow, the next 2 season in Oakland are going to be extremely awkward. 

Surprised the Raiders didn't decide to play at UNLV's stadium, it has 10k more seats than the Stadium the Chargers are playing in next year. 

Visiting teams are going to have fun enforcing curfew in Vegas....

      Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.

      Not a chance the SEC could compete with the NFL.  In the large cities that are not in the Southeast, (LA, NYC, Chicago, SF) College football is an afterthought.
