What?? A dollar won't due!!?? While Ginn might be our best receiver he's not top NFL value.. His drops will counter his catches.. he needs a paycheck!!

He won't command top dollar. Cheap sign. It would be nice to have him as a #3 with a legit burner on the roster. But Panthers are trying to develop Funchess. So if we draft/sign a burner WR, Ginn is gone unless he's fine being a #4.

Not sure any of that really matters. What matters is if any other teams think they can get out of him what we have. If they do and they are willing to pay for it, he'll follow the money. Of course, he said he made a mistake, when he was coming here. If he signs somewhere else, he'll say something nice about that organization.

His wife is about to have another baby here, kids are in school, lots of reasons to stay and probably the money is not going to be much different anywhere else - hes lucky to be here and he knows it, and will leave only if the Panthers do something awful contract wise which they are not

3 years 6.5-7.5 Million including guarantees and incentives, etc... That's it. Anything lesser than that is better, and anything more isn't really a good deal for the Panthers.

LOL at yall getting mad for Gettleman for not signing him back when Arizona overpaid for him. 

Let me remind of you of the context. 

As Hurney exists stage left, fans scream and cry, "OVERPAID for JAGs! Cap Hell!! Horrible at drafting past the first round!"

Gettleman arrives, unknown and unabashed, he does things his way, finding bargain deals that plugged holes and produced quality starters. 

Gettleman is praised in the offseason for letting pieces we built up go, because we didn't have the financial ability to sign them AND it would have been a repeat of Hurney. 

 

Fast forward: fans in 2017. Gettleman fuged up by not overpaying for Ginn!
