OP I wouldn't be too quick to make that judgement. Russel Wilson is a very good player he just needs a better o line, Sherman is still a top CB, Earl Thomas already said he's not retiring, Michael Bennet is a headcase but he prodcues. Pete Carrol is still there and on top of all that they make the playoffs every year. They will be just fine unfortunately.

All overblown. They'll get their token slap on the wrist. It's not like it's going to mortally, or even profoundly, affect them.

As for Wilson, as much poo as people talk about him, dude has the second highest passer rating of all time. Only A-Rod is ahead of him. Defenses can't prop up generally good decision making. And, Wilson can hurt you with his legs. The fact is we are likely going to have to contend with Seattle for a while. We're still trying to get to where they are.

Mortensen reporting they may lose their 2nd round pick for not reporting the Sherman injury.  That is far more than a wrist slap and hurts in the feels.  They already lost a 5th for illegal practices.

Sure, but in the grand scheme of things, it means nothing. Good organizations don't fall off a cliff because they miss a draft pick or two, as well they shouldn't. I mean, if you really want to send a message, at least take a first. Really, two, three or four consecutive firsts would really hurt, but the league will never go for that because they largely police themselves, obviously have some belief in the notion of what goes around comes around (and fear the reprisals), and don't want to do anything that may have a substantial effect on their wallets. Bar them from an entire draft, or from free agency. They'll really feel it then.

Ironically they've had half a decade of AWFUL investments in 1st round picks.  They've covered it up because they struck gold from 2010-2012 in all rounds.  But the affects of such awful investments in 1st round picks will be felt.  The world will soon see.  9-11 wins at best.
