Draftwire likes Seminoles for the Panthers.

Not worth a thread but Dane Brugler just made an interesting comparison for Leonard Fournette. Ranking him Dalvin Cook is stupid though.

Simply put, Fournette is a freak of nature. His blend of size, speed and strength is rare and the best NFL comparison in terms of body type and natural ability might be Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis. He has some areas that require fine-tuning, but Fournette is a different breed of athlete.

Wow, that is an interesting comparison.  Probably wouldn't have been my first thought, but I can see why he brought it up.

I mean, I'm skeptical about taking a running back in the first also, but everything that I have read about Fournette is that he is special. I haven't seen such a highly rated guy since, well, forever. I am beginning to believe. Of course that probably means that he'll be gone like this mock suggests. That being said, I don't know that Cook is worth it. Not a believer that he is a freak athlete that will transcend his position with otherworldly play. The only back that I see doing that these days is Léveon Bell. If he stays healthy, he is that guy. So if Cook ain't that, I'll take my chances later.

I would be okay with this 3 rounds if certain things happened.  If Leonard and Adams are gone.  I would say with the 8th pick I'd go Malik Hooker or Derek Barnett over Dalvin Cook.  Barnett and Hooker would be almost a no-brainer day one starter at either position.  This draft is deep with good quality backs... Foreman, Nichols, Perine, Mixon, Gallman, etc.   With the 8th overall pick you have to get a day 1 starter like a Barnett, Hooker, or Ramcyzk (didn't check my spelling)  Hell if Dalvin is THE guy they are after though, maybe a little trade down to Browns 2nd 1st rounder and pick up another 1-2 Day 2 picks.

You guys just don't understand how prolific Fournette can be. His per game stats really do compare favorably to AD's and Zeke's.

yeah, his per game average does.

Gallman averaged more rush yards the last 2 seasons vs Bama than Fournette though.   Key to running on a good defense isn't just about the RB.

Zeke doesn't need to be lumped into AP type talk now.  Dallas has the best OL in the NFL.  You could pick 10 different RBs that would lead the NFL in rushing behind that OL w/ with those reps (and that is conservative)

The only RB I'd want at 8 is Fournette.  Otherwise I really want D'Onte Foreman in the 2nd.

Donte Foreman where we pick in the 2nd would be one of the best values in the entire draft.

I'd like that or Fournette but that 2nd round value is probably better than Fournette at 8....would be rough to be the decision maker here in this draft there are legit 4 options at 8 we could have and good value in 2....good draft to have that extra 3rd in too.

I really like what I see out of Foreman. That big guy got another gear. But...he apparently has had some issues with ball security. Can you, or anyone, tell me something to allay my fears?

Looks like he had 6 fumbles on 323 carries this past season.
