Proehl believes in KB & Funchess, quite naturally, and I hold out hope too.

I can see the potential in KB, but Funchess? He wasn't that good in HS, was mediocre in college and has been nothing but a disappointment in the NFL. He's another Brandon Lafell

Either way KB and Funchess on the field at the same time is a disadvantage for us.

I really can't understand this constant blasting of Kelvin.  He might of had some lapses in effort.  But even coming off an ACL injury in his second year still almost had a 1,000 receiving yards.

Not to mention he actually put time into his hands and that drastically improved

Funchess did play receiver at Michigan. Correct if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I remember Mel Kiper or one of those other clowns talking about how we might use him at tight end.

Noted and corrected. It was only in his Senior year, and his main success was from the slot.

Kiper wasn't the only one thinking that TE would be a better fit, and Funchess did have some success in the position. The thing with Funchess is that people didn't know where to use him, and arguably still don't considering how relatively little he gets on the field. He was a tweener who projected to be a project, and his curve was a lot higher than the other receivers' as a result, which still supports the position that he needed/needs more time to transition to a pro, especially transitioning to a true, every down WR, and one that plays the X, Y, and slot positions.

lol given what they've done in the past why would you not think they won't excel? Do they have work to do? Heck yeah they do. The more time they spend in this system and with Cam the better they will become. KB's slump was  7 TD's to 941 yards,  his Rookie season was 1008 to 9 TD's. He wasn't that far off, he even got his drops under control this season. I'll take that slump year any day. Funchess is the one that needs to step up a little more. They'll both be fine. I'm more concerned about the RB situation and the O line situation.
