Playoff kickers

So far kickers in the NFL playoffs are a perfect 34 for 34 for Field goals.(and perfect on PAT's)

is it still time for us to make a move to replace Gano? I cant see us going on a SB run with-out him missing at some point, so it begs the question that should we begin to replace him?

His contract would leave us with .75 million in dead cap but would save us 2.25 million.

your Dave Gettleman, what do you do? In my opinion we should stick it out with him for the final year of his contract, If he has another year like 2016 we should not bother resigning and get the best one available in next years draft.

This is depressing. I wonder how many NFL teams would've cut Gano's ass well before the end of the season? Probably the vast majority. It's so frustrating how this franchise sits idly by as the league constantly evolves.

I've said it before but clutch kickers are few and far between. Unless we can pry someone else's off their roster, we are stuck with Gano unless we want to gamble on an unknown that has a strong leg.

It is worth mentioning that Greg Zuerlein is available. Seems like the best option that I can tell.

Mason Crosby and Chris Boswell are the main reasons their teams are advancing.

Graham Gano is the main reason we could not even make it into the playoffs.

Do. Something.

Gano isn't the main reason we didn't make the playoffs. He did have a bad year.

Lots of kickers have off years though IMO.  I'd have competition ready for him next year and on speed dial if he doesn't recover

I hate to place the blame on one guy, but how many chances did he have to win the game this year? And how many wins did we need to a wildcard spot?

If Gano doesn't miss in Denver the season is completely different and also his misses literally cost us 3 games and arguably 4....with everyone elses fug ups ignored Gano could have gotten us a 10-6 record with his leg.

Top 3 money I expect that.....but yea he didn't

How many times did the D or O not do their job and put it on him? Like I said, he did have a bad year and I would have competition and a guy on speed dial but....I'd give him one more go

even Kasay had seasons he missed a lot. Granted Kasay made most of his late game memorable ones

    • Happy Thanksgiving y’all. Thankful for a very good team and for this group to talk canes.  Eat drink celebrate our win bs the rags. This team is cup ready.
    • I don't think should be seen as an insult, legitimately. Teddy's floor was consistently a good game manager to his ceiling of border-line top 10 QB who's arm strength didn't blow you away but could make all the throws and generally made good decisions and had some sneaky athleticism.  Teddy started on quite a few teams. He had a good start to his career, had a horrific injury that could have ended his career, came back and played himself into being a starter, got a contract here (and subsequently became another victim of Tepper's impetuousness), and then started games for a few other teams. Teddy could have been a franchise QB had he not suffered a freak injury, and then he just never ended up in another stable situation. He still had a good NFL career that could have been great without that injury. Teddy before that injury did look like a franchise QB, and I dont think that's a bad comp for Young nor an insult in terms of what his career could be based on that comparison.
    • Absolutely the wrong take. We have to run and gun. We have zero post presence. We just have to make shots. We just can't hit water from a boat tonight and we're turning it over to boot. Then you have a poor shooting opponent shooting lights out.  Looks like a long season ahead of us though if Hubert doesn't adapt to this roster. We have to play a pressure trapping D and get out in transition because we aren't beating anyone in the half court.
