The Falcons need to send a thank you card to Gettleman for stepping out of the way by weakening the Panthers defense against NFC South competition.

The goal is to build a team to beat the competition in your own division. I am not quite sure how the front office even thought depleting the DEs and DBs would do well against any NFC South team.

It may be a while for the Panthers to stand up to the Falcons, Saints, and Bucs if they continue to rely on Bradberry, Worley, Boston, Coleman (at SS), and Ealy as their impact players against all the NFC South passing attacks.

I believe that was the first time I actually saw a team with a championship defense actually cut out all the strength at defending against their division opponents biggest strengths.

That would probably be enough to turn me off from the NFL for good. The better part of this past year, between mismanagement, awful coaching, poor effort and the league's blatant disregard for safety has pretty much left me uninterested as it is.

As fans, nothing will ever top 2015 because this franchise isn't good enough to ever win a Super Bowl. Its management from top to bottom will never be good enough and its rivals all leave it in its wake. The 2015 season was awesome but we didn't win the Super Bowl and we won't be back for a long time anyway, if ever. Atlanta winning it all would officially make us the NFC South's Philadelphia Eagles.

So it was just the defense that made us 6-10? I counted 5 games that we lost in which we allowed under 22 points and one of those games the offense gave up 10. A total of 9 games under 22 points is pretty decent at least not the sole reason we sucked. The Panthers out-played the Buc both times let's not act as if they passed us. Gano missed what 3 FGs last game we lost by 1?
