I love the "lucky" description, because that's what I have felt ever since Shula was promoted. Every play it feels like something lucky has to happen to even have a successful play, and Cam has been doing just that for too long now. However, he is breaking down mentally and physically and he can't bail out Shula anymore with his magic. If we want to sniff the superbowl again in the next 5 years, then either Shula has to get fired, or we have to evolve (which I have zero faith in Rivera or Shula in doing that).

The thing that bothers me the most is the issues with the offense are so obvious and yet, nothing is ever done as Ron is a 'status quo' guy and the NFL is not.

it is  evolve or die and I just feel like another 6 years wasted doing the exact thing we did with the exact same result we had 6 years prior with Fox

What is really any different and what will be any different next year if the coaching philosophy stays the same?  I fear the answer is 'nothing'.

At some point saying to myself 'well, we aren't Cleveland ' just isn't enough

idk

I've been out of country and have only been able to watch a few Panthers games. I only know that they have a strong record and a home game. Seemed natural to be the favorite since the last I heard GB was struggling. Things change.....looks this could still be a game but how great would it be to see Dallas still not be able to win

I think it's because of their fan base being primarily regarded as a**holes. As least that's why I hate them.

This. Most of their fans couldn't tell you where Pittsburgh is on a map but claim to be die hard. They're the AFC version of the cowboys.

There's plenty of other reasons as well

I don't think so, sir. What do we gain if ATL wins the SB?

Lets see. We as a team get nothing. We as a division with "possible" back to back SB contenders adds legitimacy for our division( lets face it....who else other than the sounth give a damn about our division). Lets not pretend that our games often get broadcast out of our area on a regular basis.

I dont know man....i sometimes wonder if half of the ppl here are even football fans that know anything other than beer, wings, sandwiches, ass, and stats.. Success in our division ( by us,or even division rivals) brings more exposure to our DIVISION....more interest. from fans...etc. That benefits us all far more than GB and NE in the SB

Imagine if Atlanta wins the SB, we would be the only team in the division without a SB

If we win one of 52 thru 62....we'd be the quickest team in the division to win the Superbowl, so...fug Atlanta, still took them 40+ years to do it.

I went to lunch with 4 coworkers on Friday all who are Panther fans. They all said that they were pulling for Atlanta in the playoffs because they were part of their division and you need to "support your own." We spent 30 mins arguing over how stupid that sounded to me. I had Pork Belly tacos and a kale/ arugula salad with Asian dressing if anyone was wondering.

This is due to the fact, that a fan is suppose to hate/dispise their divisional opponents more than any other team in the league. Evidently many didn't get that memo, or can't read.

Oh no doubt every fan base has it's share of them. But certain one's I've noticed have A LOT more than others.

My college roommate grew up in Pittsburgh and the Steelers/Penn State fans were such louts that he now hates sports.
