KB is right, they did look good. He's in awe that Matt's receivers are doing what they have failed to for the most part. Maybe he's drawing inspiration.

Atlanta has looked good, but I do not think they win a SB this year.

Wow he drew inspiration after we have completely let the season go down the shitter you know I wouldn't have a problem with him finding inspiration if it was just a little bit earlier and it actually mattered and we could've salvaged the season but you know it's OK it is OK because he will come back stronger next year let's just pray about this because if he doesn't he gone have to catch this fade

[emoji23]he's gonna catch the fade? That's funny as hell to me. I hope he uses it as inspiration for next year. Come back and be leaner and more aware. I hope or whole offense comes back more focused and aware, Cam included.

Nor the concept that, to begrudge someones opinion because it differs from your own, is incredibly petulant and bitchy. fuging clowns.

It's not that I don't like the message .... because let's face it they were good...like I said before I just don't like that it was him saying it of all the people on the panthers Now what would be exciting is if one of the coaches say for instance Shula said that I would be slightly tickled.

Meh, they are playing well, they improved their team while we sat on our hands, resting on our laurels.

Getting bent out of shape at KB for complimenting them as a means of over compensating for our own errors would be misplaced anger.

Couldn't agree more with this.  #TheRedforPresident.

What kills me is the Gettlemen apologist seem pretty content with this "bad year."  Makes no damn sense.

Some people here would throw the Pope under the bus if it meant absolving Gettleman of responsibility for his lack of offseason moves.

They get mad at CPPanther or whatever his name is, for saying crazy poo blaming Gettlemen.  But, they sound just as dumb stating how it's "okay" to have a bad year after going to the Super Bowl and winning 15 games.  Sad part?  Tampa, and Atlanta caught up with us.  That's the sad thing.

We got swept by the Bucs.

The year after appearing in the Super Bowl.

Let that sink in.

THE BUCS.

But what oh what in the world could we have done to prevent this? I just don't know. It's crazy, I know it's not Gettleman's fault though, that poor fella. It's cool guys, we can afford to have throwaway seasons with two superstar talents on each side of the ball (Cam/Luke) getting another year older while we just kick the tires, and the rest of the league improves. No biggie.

Missed FGs, terrible special teams play, awful penalties, terrible play calls, terrible clock management, key injuries and on and on

Here's the thing, this poo was around last year.  Gettlemen needed to do work in the offseason to mask these defencies with this team.  He didn't, The NFL caught up, started outcoaching Shula/Rivera per usual, and the defense got incredibly worse because of Gettlemen.  Simple as that.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
