Redskins fan Adam Myrick of Lexington, S.C., predicts unruly fans won't take the new rules seriously until clubs revoke their season tickets, then publicize it.

Myrick, 33, says he hasn't attended an NFL game this year because of fans' drunkenness and rude behavior. He'd like to take his 4-year-old daughter to a game, but doesn't think NFL games are safe for families.

That's the downside. If this actually works, fans like Adam might start going to games again.

This isn't going to work, because people are going to start getting reported for problems they didn't start or create. My wife got hit in the back of the head at the Bucs game, on our own damn field, why, who knows, but a little bit of a chock hold followed by threats worked well and it didn't happen again. Texting security surely would have made things worse and probably would have ended with us getting kicked out instead of the trouble makers.

Goodell's rules — the result of rising concern that fan misconduct was driving some people from games — say that patrons who are drunk or disruptive, who use foul language or make obscene gestures or who verbally or physically harass other fans can be refused admission to games, or kicked out of them without refunds. Such fans also can be stripped of their season tickets

Can't see anything wrong with the intent. Hopefully security would come down, verify the complaint and then take action.

Just be an upright human during the game. Not that hard.

Saw a guy tossed in front of me at the Broncos game.

Numbnuts was heckling a Bronco fan a row away.It was starting to die down and the guy sitting down caught in the middle with his teen son, calmly asked the guy to quit yelling in his ear.

The drunk guy mumbled something and the guy said just sit down or he will get security.

Drunk guy would have none of it and kept on. Dude went and got security and then tried to rumble with them.

But to add to the jackassery was the drunk guys friends standing there laughing and watching.

Had that been one of my friends, the moment I saw the guy start to head to get security I would have stepped in and lightened things up.

Enjoy and live it up at the game. Being respectul of others is not hard. There are not people yelling at you at the start of the game to NOT drink.

Mans got to know his limitations.

Voice of reason right there. Being a decent person isn't a stretch. I like mixing it up with opposing fans as much as the next guy, but there's a limit. Remember it's a darn game, and sportsmanship applies to fans as well. And everything comes back to you sooner or later.

Problem is that you've got minimum wage people making the decisions. I've got an ass in front of me who wants my seats. Games that I'm not even in my seats (had other seats at last minute and not sold mine), that I've been reported. He wants my seats because he has kids now and needs more. I don't miss games so he's screwed.

People will abuse the system.

I can understand you know if someone is being harrassed and what not for stupid things, but this a football game, you have to expect to be harassed if your a cowgirls fan in an opposing stadium, you didn't come up to just watch the game, you know you came to tick people off.. if you want to get rid harrassment and all that, get rid of alcohol... lol... it wont happen but you cna't stop people from cussing and what not, i think they have have designated areas in stadiums for families and what not, just b/c your 7 years old and you go to a football game your going to hear some cuss words and what not, its life, get over it, if you dont like it, get out.. and let some people who really will enjoy the game, enjoy it....

There were some people who annoyed me at the last game - not that I'd ever report anyone. But there were a group of 4 young 20-somethings who were all drinking. Never got sloppy, but got too that point where they all thought they were oh so clever. When we were on defense, the one guy wanted too be able to count to 3 and have everyone around him shout Broncos Suck. No one did it because people were just screaming at the top of their lungs. But that's not what bugged me. They all 4 just stood the whole time not watching the game and chatting - literally, they were standing with their backs to the field talking to each other. These weren't the usual people who sit in those seats. I did think the man who sat beside them were going to report them (this guy and his wife are at every single game - he's a bit of a stick in the mud about some things, but they still are always very attentive). Well, this group had maybe 4 seats, but there were 6 people there at one time - I think they were switching off who was going to sit in the seats during the game. 2 of the guys just stood right in front of this other guy - they never made it all the way to their seats - they just stood right smack in front of this guy as they all chatted. These people were very distracting to everyone around them not because of terrible behavior, but because of very inconsiderate behavior. IMO, the people who sat in the rows behind them or beside them exercised great restraint.
