Aren't you in my thread crying at this moment?

I'm actually laughing at you right now.

I wasn't whining at all, I even agree with the idea that Cam doesn't have the weapons especially the O line. I was pointing out the hypocrisy in defending Cam and criticizing Shula when they both had the same weapons to work with. Try to keep up here, it is basic logic.

That's going to depend upon free agency, but if we don't address the LT/OT position, and if we don't address the second TE position, I am going to be a human bobblehead I'm shaking my head so damned much. Moreover, we really need another WR and RB also, so to answer your question, probably at least four players that can legitimately start even if they don't (again, depending upon FA).

I agree but keep in mind we are more or less talking about starters.

LT is consensus here if not i question the football acumen

RB for sure but CAP and Fozzy can barely get on the field, def CAP can't so unless a rb was Ezekiel Elliott do we get starter this year?

Some good TEs this draft but do you go rd 1 with Olsen still having a couple good years left.

I say go rb at 8, te 2nd rd and whatever needs are from there and sign a solid if not very good LT and DB and you got something.

You are whining and you're even going around in other threads continuing to whine about my thread. It's hilarious to watch. Keep it up, buddy.

Yet what is funny is that people will deny that the team ignores offense. They got Cam Newton out there running for his life and relying on players who are not starter quality players to be starter quality players. Then the media bashes him, delusional fans bash him, and we watch the offense collapse time and time again. Good thread here to outline the fact that all of us hollering about how the team has ignored Cam and the offense are not without facts to back us up.

The formula has obviously been working lol. Almost won the Super Bowl last year and were a good team that caught some bad breaks this year. The Panthers could have easily been a playoff team.

The Super Bowl appearance is a distant memory. It's gone.

In my humble opinion, you can't proclaim that the formula is really working until you have at least three winning seasons in a row.

I do take issue with "almost" winning the Super Bowl. We didn't. We basically got our asses kicked (because of weaknesses on offense).

Even if I were to say, we "almost" won it all one year, and then fall completely off a cliff the next, that's another indication that the "formula" isn't working. I mean, I could see if we backed it up with another halfway strong effort, but come on...!

The "formula," if it is in fact a "formula," needs some tweaking to say the least.

This is what you do when you are busted and try to defend it. Go on the attack. Good middle school debate tactics.

Shula would still suck even if this team did adequately address the offense.

He has a track record of sucking.

Image result for bye gif

Not here he doesn't and that was with arguably the worse receivers group in the league last year. Even with Oher and Remmers at tackle. Watch next year even without a legit left tackle as long as they are healthy we will have a top 10 offense once again.

    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
