Gregg Williams?

Has anyone considered Gregg Williams as a potential replacement at HC? If you want to see an aggressive defense, this is your guy.

I realize he had a rough time in Buffalo, but Belichek had a rough time in Cleveland...

I think after the Buffalo experiment he's content with just being a coordinator, in addition to that he likes being the Saints coordinator because there's not as much pressure on him and his defense.

I think Williams one of those guys that's way better as a DC than as a head coach (and he's had some rough going in his prior two stints as a DC too).

I'd take Rob Ryan or Ron Rivera.

At some point you need to learn that some folks are just meant to be cordinators. Leave them there.

No but I sure wish we could have gotten him as our DC, which would have to mean Fox would let him run his system and not interfere.

Greg Williams really wanted the 'Skins head coaching job when Gibbs quit, but he didn't get much of an endorsement from Gibbs, among others there. I think he wants to be a HC again somewhere in the NFL. Most who fail their first time around as NFL HC don't have much success in any subsequent HC job. There are exceptions, Belichek comes to mind (run out of Cleveland, a genius in NE), so does Dungy to a lesser degree (he had built a winning team that won the SB the next year under Gruden). I'm for anyone who can bring some proficiency to the defense, but I'm not sure Williams is the guy for us as a HC.

What about Dungy? Anyone think he may want to throw his hat back in after some time off?
