Jabril Peppers officially enters the 2017 NFL draft

He is more of a Deon Buchannon type of linebacker. I don't think we would be interested in him at 8.

Yep. For all his athletic talent, he sucks in coverage even as a LB and he's only 200 lbs. I have no idea where you even play him in the NFL. Spending a top 10 pick on someone with that many questions is not smart.

KR/PR and SSafety will be the positions he plays. I agree he sucks in coverage, but the kid is a play maker.

Shaq was always a LB to me. He was 230 coming out and had been a traditional OLB his entire college career save a couple games he filled in at S and RB. That's a little small for a LB but not that far off. The issue with Shaq was where does he play for the Panthers that gets him on the field more than 30% of the defensive snaps with Luke and TD on the team.

Peppers is 200 and has moved around a bunch. He's more similar to Jeremy Cash than Shaq. Peppers is undersized for a SS and doesn't cover well. He is way too small to be an every down LB in the NFL and that's where his skill set puts him.

Gotta ask the peppers supporters, can he play day one safety? Not free safety but strong, if not how long will the adaptation take 6 games, 1 full year, two? How high is his football IQ too?

He has some moves on the kick returns.  He seems special to me, but I understand the logic of the detractors.

I would take him as a kick returner alone but not with the 8th pick.
