Trubisky only had one year of starting in college because he couldn't beat out  a guy who wasn't half the player Deshaun  has been the last three years.

I don't know how good Trubisky will be in the NFL, but this will be meaningless to most NFL teams.  NFL teams try to gauge future potential.  They don't always look at specific performance in the college game. And fwiw, Tom Brady platooned with Drew Henson in his senior season when he was at Michigan.  Dak Prescott couldn't beat out Tyler Russell. Now both are favorites to be in the Super Bowl.

I agree, and don't really think either guy will be a great NFL QB, but using the "he's only had one year as a starter" excuse to justify him being a better prospect is silly when it's his own shortcomings that caused that to happen.  It's not like he's a guy who has been hurt or transfered or whatever and never really got a chance to compete to start.

Mike williams  or DJ Howard...Now that I take in account injuries maybe not Mike williams ... really no one is in position of need I would take Dj howard is the only one I see in position of need but I wouldn't draft him at #8...Watson and that Reinfroe played good on offense but I wouldn't pick either of them and on defense the lbs on both sides played great but we don't need any. I guess no one for the #8 pick but 2nd round Dj Howard he can block and catch.

I love Williams but given how we already are built...

a Williams, KB, Fun Fun, Olsen pass attack still leaves us lacking the diversity I would like to see at WR.

That Boulware kid is a play maker.  He's about the only one that stood out to me but I did turn it off in the 3rd quarter so I can't really say who else shown out.

No he couldn't beat out the head coach who under utilizes his talent...but we were one bad offsides call away from a possible ACC championship over the Tigers...

If OJ Howard is there in the second you take him. 

Mike Williams is a better version of KB- too bad we already have that, plus not sure he is worth a top 10 draft choice. 

Was really impressed with how Watson battled back. This is great news for Panthers fans. More QBs in the top 8 = Better talent falling to us. 

Alabama has got some ballers on that defense. There MLB has some Luke in him. 

Clemson's got some really, really good defense freshman as well- can't remember #99 name but he was balling before he got injured and #90 is going to be great too. 

The player I really wanted to see was Wayne Gallman. I really hope we can snag him in a later round, regardless of who are top picks are, I've wanted him for years.

Personally, I don't trust Gettelman to have the sense to make a move like that. I don't trust the team's scouting operation and I don't trust their draft thought process. It doesn't seem to me he takes into account where the long term needs of the team are.

Fedora gave him every chance to win that QB job in 2014 and he almost made the same mistake in 2015. Marquise Williams was a much better fit for the UNC offense.
