I do think DG will learn from this, and luck will be more on our side next year. I can see the Panthers going on another 3 year playoff run in '17, '18, and '19 with one of those years resulting in a championship.

the future is bright, '16 was an anomaly. we'll be a dominant force for years to come.

Very true, but I still won't say we're part of the latter until we miss the playoffs next year.  I mean, you said There are teams that make it year after year, and we did it for 3 straight seasons including one superbowl run and 3 playoff wins.  To put in perspective, you have to go back to 2002 to get 3 playoff wins for Atlanta, 96 for 3 playoff wins from Dallas, and 1957 to get 3 playoff wins from Detroit.  These teams are there, but we've had more success in the last 3 seasons than many of the teams in the playoffs have had in DECADES.  No we aren't the Patriots, Steelers, or seahawks, but I guarantee you that 25 or more teams in the NFL wish they had the run we had from 2013-2015 and because of injuries and such, I'm not ready to shutdown that stretch, I could very well see us bounce right back next year.

Only exceptional franchises manage to transcend parity. We will see where we're at beginning in September.
