Hypothetical Question about future contracts.

I asked this question in another thread but never really received an answer to it. I was wondering that if a team that was in the playoffs had a string of injuries at a position and had to pull from free agency to fill the spot, would a player that has signed a future contract still be available by voiding the future contract  or are they pretty much locked in? I know it isn't a likely scenario but curiosity has gotten the better of me. It never hurts to have a little more football knowledge lol.

Well, I found my answer after doing some digging around else where and have learned a good bit about future contracts. This article was released in 2014 but covered the topic rather well.

Which is what I told him in the last thread

That you did but as I stated it was a hypothetical question that should a team receive enough injuries is a particular position could they. You said playoff teams don't pick from practice squads but never said that if they were desperate enough to fill a position due to said amount of injuries if the signing was possible. It was a question out of pure curiosity and search for knowledge since I didn't know much about how future signings worked until now.
