Antwan Odom only had 2 tackles. He's trash...

this sarcasm would be relevant had Peppers done anything in the first two games.

Perhaps you missed game 1... Obviously that was the case.

perhaps he goes missing for the next 14 games.. but call it how you see it, not the general misinformation roaming around here...

i saw what peppers did to KEVIN KOLB. and the plays he made after the game was over. good for him to keep playing during the entire game. But id rather him show him during a winnable game.

Your a fool. The steelers actually schemed against odom (6 linemen), which negated the majority of there versatility. He also was in on the sack that stopped pitt and changed the mo... which eventually lead to THE

"W"

Whens the last time any team schemed to peppers and no another team craming the ball down his side of the line doesnt count thats a negative.

Good news though, he gets to play the hotel, which is great because he will not be getting owned by a rookie tackle or TE.

Kevin Kolb doesn't block. He throws the ball. Thought I might clear that up.

And Pep had plays in the 1st half, as well as the 2nd...

Minus Pittsburgh's noticeable drop off without Troy Polamalu, it takes an entire defense to stop an offense. To which I'll also add, it takes an offense not giving up 5 turnovers, penalties, and 3 and outs to let the defense rest every once in a while...

If you feel the need to bash Pep, perhaps focus more on game 2.. as game 1 was a good performance..

If you're sore about his cap hit.. well, he played his cards, as anyone would, just like the FO felt they did what they had to do. IMO, that shouldn't discredit the good game he did have.

But you're right.. I'd rather see him play well and be dominant in all games. However, I don't see how this qualifies us to ignore the solid game he did have.

Just focusing on this bad game he had and ignoring his good game last week to support my bias that he's trash.

And thus I will remake my point,

But when you show up to the game Monday night remember who you are....

....because a man with half you're talent and twice you're heart could accomplish more than you ever could.

At least he would be trying.

And the winner would be Antwan Odom, or is your next point how teams don't gameplan against him, he's underated, oh boo hoo.

Let me ask you a question, if Ray Lewis goes out and comes away with two tackles, wouldn't you be like "what the hell Ray, you're the elite player at your position"

So when Peppers jogs around and shows zero intensity we can call his ass out day and night.

why focus on a game that means nothing? When was the last game that mattered that peppers stepped up in. Im not bashing him, im stating the obvious. his first two weeks were not as good as Odoms. Thats what i said. and its the truth. nothing u can say will change that. Ill give him all the credit in the world when he deserves it. he does NOT deserve anything right now.

If you're saying game 1 meant nothing, then you should do the same for game 2. You should also say whatever Odom has done means nothing as well. You have a messed up logic.

The point of this thread is that you have 2 good DEs in Peppers and Odom. Peppers has a great game and so does Odom. Then the next week they both just have 2 tackles, yet many here go ape sh*t on Peppers STILL and ignore what he did in week 1 to support their bias against Peppers because they still have their panties in a twist over his contract.

A player can't be dominate every single game. Even the greats like Ray Lewis have an average day.

let me make this clear. because we have went, up, over, and beyond the point. When comparing the first 2 weeks of the season. Antwan Odom has had a better 2 weeks than Julius Peppers. I don't care about the circumstances surrounding it. It is a fact. thats what im sticking with. John fox says stats are for losers, because he is one.

And again, Im not comparing what they've done all together. If you compared every other DE in the league to what Odom has done the first 3 weeks, Odom would be better than any of them. That doesn't mean he's the best DE in the league. Im saying both had good games one week, then the next just had 2 tackles. It doesn't mean Peppers is trash just like it doesn't mean Odom is trash. They both just had an average game. So if someone says Pep is trash cause of it, they're also saying Odom is too.

ok now we are on to something. 1) i am/was comparing the first 2 weeks. 2) i never reffered to peppers as trash. what i said was, Odoms 2 weeks were better than peppers'.
