This board ... good god. Bunch of Safe Place needing ninnies. When the reigning MVP has a lackluster year, and you point out "where does he fall?", you're not going to have a pic of him dabbing. It's not hate, it's truth, he had a bad year. You need a pic to show the point.

Rodgers tossing his tablet against us became a meme representing the frustration for his whole season last year. People are ruthless to the best players of the game.

Look at people on this board talk about Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, etc. etc. Brady is a crybaby bitch, Manning lost his skill and sucked last year, hell, people were trying to say that Drew Brees was on the down slope like 4 years ago and he's gone on to throw for 5 consecutive 5000 yard seasons. He ain't the problem in NO.

But they're all QBs so they all get too much praise and too much blame. They are the faces of their respective franchises so they get the spotlight in good times and bad.

Isn't it fitting that they put the famous Von Miller "strip sack" in the middle of their collage. The bias against Cam is real we see it, it's been documented. They made an illegal hit to the head and the result of it the centerpiece of their collage.

Man I am so freaking tired of seeing that.... I see it on the Snapchat eveytime a snap ends ughhhhhhh what are the the freaking odds

You guys are looking for butthurt again.

Cam had a really shitty year. No ifs ands or buts around it. It is a direct contrast to the year he had last year where he was the MVP. So in the grand scheme of things where they had him ranked very highly last year, showing Cam with a dejected look insinuates his ranking likely fell (deservedly so) this season. They used photos to imply that he no longer holds the #1 ranking from the previous year, because there was a huge difference in Cam's level of play over the past two years.

Why you guys take it personally is beyond me. If he had played better, he wouldn't have even been pictured. He played great last year and got the love and accolades. He followed it up with a stinker and is now being criticized. How you can look into it any further is beyond me when there's plenty of other blatant examples of pure hate against him for no real reason.

Rodger's got poo on last year and bounced back. Let's hope Cam does too.

What I do take personal, is your last statement. Rodgers had a year not up to his usual standards, but Rodgers has an offensive coach and system that'll help him bounce back. Right now Cam is being set up for failure all around and I take that personally. Why is that he has to bounce back, maybe the Panthers as a whole need to bounce back and that's what more people don't see and talk about.

To play devil's advocate here Cam really does needs to bounce back himself. He had a 52% completion rate this year, which is horrible. Some of that is the scheme, some of that is the personnel, but there were NUMEROUS occasions where Cam was lackadaisical, locked onto a target, or just plain missed a throw that he made in years past. Cam wasn't Cam this year and some of that is on him.

Now I won't argue Shula makes it difficult and he should be replaced yesterday, but to put all the blame on the organization isn't fair, just like it isn't fair to put it all on Cam. Both need to step up next year.

You "look at me, I'm above it all!" folk are just so precious.

I don't honestly give a poo about this instance.

But in general time, and time again people on this board try to downplay or minimize the vitriol that has been directed at him throughout his career.

Even in 2015 we had mothers sending angry letters because a big black man at the quarterback position had the nerve to celebrate in a game after he scored.

And all this "bad season, bad season, bad season" nonsense being pointed out in every thread is telling. Newton threw the most passes in a season since his rookie year behind a depleted OL, and through 15 games finished with only 1, yes one more interception than he did last season. You would think he threw more interceptions than touchdowns the way the usual doofuses are running around here gleefully pointing out his completion percentage.

I don't dispute that he's under more of a microscope than any other QB in the league and gets more than his fair share of criticism for the most benign crap. That Tennessee mom was racist as hell and a total butthole about the dancing in the end zone thing.

Having said that, there are legitimate criticisms to Cam's game this season, and to brush it aside because there are tons of BS criticisms is a disservice to him and the team. Coddling Cam doesn't help him. There are legitimate grievances to his performance this year when he was making mistakes he didn't even make as a rookie

His accuracy was horrendous this year. Even the excuse of his OL doesn't negate the fact he missed on more passes this year that he nailed in years past. Could be injury, could be something else, but just because some people are pointing out he isn't infallible doesn't mean they are out to get him.

I love Cam and love him on the team. DatsmyQB.to but the fact of the matter is he wasn't up to the standard he has held himself to in year's past, and for many different reasons, some being his fault, plenty of others not, he did not produce like he should have.

I personally want Shula gone and think his disappearance would do wonders for the offense, but it is looking less and less likely that that will happen as the days go on, and to be frank, part of that is on Cam because he obviously likes the guy and is probably doing a ton to stick up for him behind closed doors. He's been with Cam since Day 1 in Carolina so I know they have a great relationship. Cam's probably shouldering the blame himself to keep Shula's job because he's such a good dude, but I think he's reached his ceiling under Shula whether he wants to admit it or not.

We ran so much less up tempo offense this year it was infuriating, Cam is at his best when he is calling his shots as he sees them. For whatever reason he was reigned in this year and it hurt him and the team. Shula leaving would only help Cam's development moving forward in my opinion, as long as they brought in the right guy.
