Before that, let's talk about that contract. Two years for 2.5 million!?!?!?! I know Dave has been the huddles' favorite pinata, but that was 20+ million in production for peanuts. O and before that he had a similar one year one million dollar deal.

Mario seems like a perfect player. I member him talking about how his priorities where on special teams and he'll do any role the team needs. It's like the panthers org brainwashed him. No idea where this gos, cause the free agency class is beyond trash and Mario could easily get paaaaaaaaaaid. If his agent, family, and friends break the panthers' hold, bu-bye Mario thanks for your time here.

My response would be you are putting too much stock in a stat sheet then.  The order of those 16 isn't an accurate representation of the 16 best pass rushers in order. 

For one, there are lots of garbage sacks guys collect that have little to do with them outside the fact they cashed in on others great play (which didn't earn them a sack),  coverage and situational sacks that don't represent pass rush ability, etc. 

another example, you could have the 7th most INTs....and it doesn't make you the 7th best CB.  

He had 3.5 more sacks than Clowney this year.  Did you watch Clowney late this season? Addison isnt in that ballpark as a DE.  Clowney was going crazy on fools late this season.  Great DE play.  But by your metric Addison is better

It would be on par with thinking we have Luke so now setting him up for great success isn't important.  To get max value of Luke....great play in front of him maximizes what he can achieve. 

Letting all your studs continuously walk makes no sense.  None.

Just like Rivera said, CJ is our most consistent DE. And, like I said, he allows Addison to do what he does. All you people downplaying CJ's role on the team, are just playing yourselves. He'll be back!

 

On a different note, we aren't paying Addison that kinda money.
