You could of easily said "We lacked veteran presence in the secondary at the beginning of the year"  or SOMETHING along those lines.    You dont have to be a fuging putz you jackass 

 

 

Because:

1. Josh Norman is a player for the Washington Redskins 

2. He probably doesn't feel that it is incumbent on him to comment on Washington Redskins players 

3. The break-up between Norman and the Panthers occurred almost a year ago and is now old news

4. He could specify chapter and verse about what really happened from his point of view and people like you would just respond LOL GETTLEDOUCHE LYING SUCKBAG JOSH NORMAN IS GOAT LOL.

I plan to watch this tonight when I get come.

Sounds like Gettlemen pretty much filibustered and didn't say really anything at all.  Favorite quote I have read was him claiming he gave the coaches enough talent when the team was "healthy".  When the team was healthy, the defense rewrote our history books for worst defensive outings.  The only legit defensive injury was Luke and we technically got better overall in that window where he was out.

Lot of times, guys in his spot get forced into giving answers to some questions.  Dave didn't bite.

and no, from what I have read....Dave didn't take the blame for anything.  Dave just said he needed to get better......and the MVP, Super Bowl winners, HOF locks, etc  of this season will claim they need to get better too.

This thread is just like the Rivera presser thread. There's people stating their opinions, good and bad. Only difference is, there wasn't much outrage over the bad opinions of Rivera. A lot of outrage if you have a bad opinion of Gettlemans presser. Lol

every team deals with injury every season.  Missing a roleplaying Addison or a very bad rookie version of Worley early on speaks to weak positions....not brutal injury.  Teams dealt with much worse than that and there D wasn't giving up franchise worst performances weekly.

Luke is a brutal injury.  Kalil is a brutal injury.  But we sucked before we got those brutal injuries.  And you know what.....there backups played well overall. 

We went into the season extremely weak at DB and DE.  It was an issue before the first snap was taken and was one all season long.  That isn't an injury issue.  We simply had issues where we were going to have problems.

I don't hate anyone.  I criticize who I think deserves it.  Dave deserves it for his 2016 offseason.  Everything that happened this season bad was discussed before the season started....it played out just like those who were upset at the bad offseason expressed.  It wasn't injury related...it was roster related.

I Didn't expect much from Dave's presser, so this was par for course actually.

Actions speak louder than words this Offseason, and for Gettleman to make light that Cam "is only 28" to further hamfist his stance that we got pleeeenty of time to right the ship irks me. ALOT.

Figured he brush off Smitty's retirement and Norman questions lmao. Get over yourself, Gettleman, you're not the first and last GM to get those questions especially when you callously oust Fan Favs seemingly every Off Season. Like everyone and their Mama is telling Cam to man up and answer the questions. You do the same.

Addison is a roleplaying DE.  That isn't the type injury you can claim derailed a unit. As far as the DBs go.....it was just interchanging comparable talent early on in the year.  None of them looked better than the rest.    

Speaks more to the fact how weak Gettlemen's roster is when you claim missing Addison early or a rookie Worley early is a big hit and why you got derailed.   Other teams dealt with worse blows than that.

lmao. I'm surprised you can say a practice squad player and special teams ace is just as good as a healthy Bradberry and Worley.

I don't know if you actually listened to what he said or how he said it, but he absolutely did not hold himself accountable. What he did was deflect the poo out of everything and when asked direct questions about his failures he responded with all "We's" instead of "I's"
