Remember the VER Y first thing Gettleman said in the presser:  "I'm not here to point fingers".

Although I think he was rather defensive in the presser, he stood true to his word.  If he had listed specific mistakes he made i.e. OL (which i'm sure he knows what they are), he would be calling out players to the public.

I'm still not 100% that he's not going to force Ron's hand on Shula but they are a team and you can't undermine the HC to the media if you want to be successful.

Yes..  It's gotten way out of hand..  They pretty much ruin any thread with their constant bullshit and complaining about him. But the thing is, they enjoy it..  They'd rather the team do poorly so they can continue to bash him. Makes zero sense to me

Why does he need an extra two weeks after the season to "evaluate the roster"? What does Gettleman do all season? It's not like he's involved in the weekly gameplan. What the hell do you even do all year?

Really? 

He watches each game, film during the week, constantly evaluates personnel (LEAGUE WIDE), and looks for opportunities to bring in players to work out, sign during the week. While also building files on upcoming FA in the offseason AND scouting college players. 

After the season, I'm sure he needs time to look at the BIG picture film study and not just individual games.

Yeah it is quite sad really. These folks would rather be the "see I told you so" guys on an internet forum than see the team do well and actively support/have a positive outlook.

What I got from the exit interview was a vow to get better and there will be no emotional decisions. I will hold him to his words of using the next 2 weeks to evaluate players and coaches. Of course we will only find out through his actions what he thought went wrong this year by cutting players, then FA and draft. Yes I wanted clearer responses but hopefully after evaluation we get a better picture.

Gettleman & Rivera have a lot of work to do this offseason; especially if they're going to keep preaching to us about sustained success. Been talking about that since Gettleman got here, but here we are still on this back and forth, win a season lose a season crap. My trust cant be earned from either until the end of 2018. In the meantime, I'm ready to see the moves made in the offseason.

2. Praises Bradberry and Worley.

3. Comments on how deep the draft is at CB....

.... and nobody asks how many more times could he seemingly contradict himself.

Gettleman's press conference made me pretty negative. I was looking forward to watching it with optimism, but he gets up there and says the same old platitudes and seems pretty hard-headed about his approach to things. I'm cautiously optimistic the team will be better next season just because of sheer luck. Losing 6 games by less than a FG is pretty crazy.

But the entire division passed the Panthers by this season and that's no coincidence. The team did barely anything to improve last offseason and let go of a lot of veteran leaders and the teams top defensive back. Going 15-1 to 6-10 is a gigantic collapse, and sitting up there and saying "stay the course" doesn't inspire much confidence. So excuse me for being negative.

Yall should have knew it was coming. I didn't watch, but I expected the injury excuses. I actually applaud him if he didn't mention that.

Just like I expected Ron to not see a problem with Shula. I don't understand it. Ron hasn't made a good decision for the whole year of 2016 and starting 2017 off by not fixing A problem. I do kind of get it, cause he's a defensive guy which is why I no longer want a DC if Ron gets fired.

I was trying to figure out what he was talking about... I couldn't see any contradictions either. All I see is 3 basic statements about cornerbacks
