DG: Bradberry "more than held his own" on Julio Jones and Mike Evans at end of season. I'd agree with that.

 

DG: Excited about the continued development of the rookie CBs. Points out Bradberry was matched up on Julio Jones and Mike Evans late in yr.

Gettleman says every year is different in free agency + #Panthers will use every avenue to build team: “We’re going to shop intelligently.”

 

Panthers will have the No. 8 pick in the draft and DG believes the team will get a quality player. Likes CBs, S, DE and RB in the draft.

 

DG: "There isn't a day that goes by that I don't question myself -- hold myself accountable."

DG: Says he feels good about the backup OL. "They didn't fall apart."

 

Gettleman believes injuries (and need to shuffle players to different positions) played a big role in some offensive line struggles.

 

Gettleman says he feels good about the backup O-linemen after so many were called into action due to injuries this year.

 

Gettleman says he gave Ron Rivera enough "healthy players, but said "when it rains it pours" on injuries.

Gettleman on Cam Newton: "We just couldn't get into any rhythm this year... the whole offense was just out of whack. It was frustrating."

 

Gettleman on QB Cam Newton: "We couldn't get any rhythm on offense this year." Again he says injuries played a factor in his declining #s.
